What can I say about her in a few sentences to let you know all that she does for me?

She is a pretty amazing mom and grandma.

Luke just adores her and my mom will do anything he asks her to do.

She became Luke’s second mother while I was in the hospital with Ruby and they have quite the bond.

I’m sure Hank will have the same relationship with her at some point too.

My mom is going to be giving away a set of 3 beautiful ornaments.

I think all of these represent Ruby so well.

Here is what my mom has to say:

Happy Birthday to our Sweet Angel, Ruby June. Ruby was born on October 11, 2011 to wonderful parents, my daughter Kristin and her husband Jared, who are a great example of strength and love, . She blessed our lives for the 15 days she graced this earth and continues to bless our lives as part of our family. I am her proud Nana and in her honor and memory  am hosting a day of giveaways. To enter please leave your name and share one of your favorite family traditions.

Winner will be announced on October 30th.

Good luck and thanks mom!

  1. Thanks for the opportunity to enter another awesome giveaway! Favorite family tradition growing up was on Christmas Eve when we would all sleep in the same room and listen to Christmas music all night, it was the greatest sleepover party ever.

  2. Oh Kirstin, I cry every day I read each post. I still can't believe it has been two years. It still feels so recent. Those ornaments are beautiful! I love ornaments representing angel babies and would love to hang these on our tree. One of our favorite family traditions is going to take pictures at Fotofly Santa, eating dinner, then driving through the lights at Thanksgiving Point. I can't wait to do it this year with our rainbow baby.

  7. I love the ornaments!! And what a proud Nana! My favorite family tradition is celebrating the 4th of July at my parents. My parents house is where my entire family (on all sides) comes together from all over from Brazil to China to be together. Their house is a magnet that comes with it, a collective exhale when we are all together. It's wonderful.

  8. My favorite tradition is hiking in the snowy mountains after Thanksgiving and cutting a tree with my boys. Then we all come home and get some hot chocolate, then decorate the tree. That night we all sleep under the lit Christmas tree. - Chelsea R.

  11. This post helped me to remember one of my favorite family traditions that I had kinda forgotten about. My mom gave my a Christmas tree ornament (or two or three) every year until I left for college so that I would have some special ornaments to decorate my own tree when I wasn't at home anymore. :) I love getting them out every year and laughing about how much I liked cats growing up; I think 90% of them are cat themed! Haha! It's a neat tradition that I would like to continue with my own children (minus the cats). ---BreighAn
