Today is another double giveaway.
I love that we have so many giveaways going on, it makes my day.
Hopefully you like it as well.
One of the giveaways today is hosted by my friend, Holli.
Holli and I met while she was working at Nuskin with Jared.
She was also dating Jared’s roommate at the time and ended up marrying him.
Now they love in Montana with the cutest daughter and another girl on the way.
Holli is also extremely talented when it comes to sewing, crocheting, embroidering, etc.
She is going to be giving away an infinity scarf that she crocheted.
It’s pretty fancy and I don’t know how she found time to make this!
{This is Holli by the way}
Here is what she has to say:
I was doing the dishes this morning and looked over at Kyla playing with her toys by herself. I left the sink full, the kitchen a mess, and turned off all technology. I sat down with her and played for an hour. I did whatever she wanted to do.
To enter the drawing, you need to abandon everything, ESPECIALLY technology, for at least an hour. Turn off the TV, shut down the computer, put the phone away, and play with your kids (or grandkids) for an hour or more. I feel that our generation is too addicted to technology. Spend time with your kids and make sure that they know that they are more important than your computer/cell phone.
If you don’t have kids or grandkids around, as long as you abandon technology for an hour and spend time with family or friends this will count too!
Leave a comment letting us know you did it.
Winner will be announced October 30th.
Good luck and thanks for the beautiful scarf Holli!

Super cute scarf!! Today I did just that and took the kids to the park. They have been watching so much tv and playing on our phones so much so they really needed it. And I did too. I did this for the post above, but I will make sure to put aside an hour tomorrow again because you're right, it's so important! Those around us are much more important than technology.
ReplyDeleteWe went to the library yesterday and the kids brought home a ton of books. So tonight we had an early dinner and baths so that we could read all of the books before bedtime. I love it since my little girl is reading on her own and its fun to listen to her progress. Thanks for the reminder to put all the tech stuff away and enjoy each other's company!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that you challenged us to put our technology away. It is seriously a hard habit to break, but one that is so, so important. I spent time yesterday playing with my son and reading books to both of my kids. Thanks again for the reminder! :)
ReplyDeleteI played with my granddaughter in the playhouse. It was fun to watch her play and see how happy she is when someone plays with her.
ReplyDeleteWe played freeze tag and zombie tag in the street in front of our house with the neighbor girl across the street! I was the designated zombie, which if you know me is something that I do not like! I ran around and chased them and turned them into zombies. We laughed until our bellies hurt. And as an added bonus, my kids went to bed a little early and slept extra well! -Robyn Turner
ReplyDeleteAbandoned media and did workbooks with my son. He loves doing "homework" and was in heaven!
ReplyDeleteIt's so fun to meet all of Kristin's friends. Such a cute scarf! Trying to cut down on technology everyday. It's hard sometimes lol
ReplyDeleteIt seems you and I were thinking on the same wavelength! I'm glad, and thanks for the specific challenge to put away technology. It is something I'm trying to be better at for sure. I took my little guy outside with me and let him "help" me plant some tulips in honor of Ruby. It was kind of a test of patience, but those moments are so important and I'm glad I did it.
ReplyDeleteSo I took your challenge today and we read books and played with puzzles for an hour before nap time. It was fun and I just love that time with my kids. Thanks for the give away!
ReplyDeleteI appreciated this challenge. We had a good time playing with some favorite toys today. :) ---BreighAn
ReplyDeleteI love this idea and challenge. The scarf is beautiful. I am going to challenge myself to do this more often.
ReplyDeleteSo very true. Some days I just have to say "no more screens!" We took a break from it all the other day and went to the pumpkin patch. It was a beautiful day and we had a great time together!
