Giveaway #3 is being sponsored by my good friend, Jody.
Jody is one of the most talented people I know.
She taught herself how to sew and always has an amazing sewing project going on.
She sent me the cutest Lilywraps to donate in Ruby’s name:
She is also the sweetest, most caring person and has an awesome giveaway today.
Here is what she has to say:
“Hi! My name is Jody Lounsbery. I am a mom of two (Jocelyn and Tyler) and live in the San Diego area with my husband, Tate. I'm so excited to help Kristin celebrate Ruby's birthday with this giveaway!
I met Kristin 10 years ago when she lived in San Diego.
Since her move away from California, we've only seen each other a couple of time but have been able to stay connected through our blogs.
I'm so grateful that I met her.
She is one of the kindest and friendliest people that I have had the pleasure to know.
She makes you feel so at ease when you are around her.
I have loved being able to watch her family grow and was so touched by her journey with Ruby.
Kristin's testimony of eternal families continues to be such a strength to me.
Even though I never had the opportunity to meet Ruby, I have felt her spirit and strength through Kristin.
In honor of Ruby, I am giving away a Ruby Slippers Wizard of Oz package.
Here is what it includes:
1. The Wizard of Oz movie - 75th Anniversary edition
2. "No Place Like Home" Wet n Wild Fergie Nail Polish
3. Glittery Ruby Headband
4. Ruby Non-skid Slipper socks
We all go on many journeys in this life and I'm grateful for special people that have come along during my journeys who I can lean on; as well as serve, love, and help along their road. I know that Kristin and Ruby are part of those special people in my life.
For this giveaway, please send a Thank You note, email, text, etc to someone who has been a special person to you on one of your journeys in life and then leave a comment about that person.”
Isn’t this awesome?!
Jared and I recently saw the play, Wicked, and I fell in LOVE with this giveaway idea when she sent it to me.
Make sure to enter and spread the word to your friends, anyone is free to enter!
Winner will be chosen October 30th.
How fun! My husband & I are going to see Wicked November 7th & my kids are jealous, so if I win this, I could let them watch it the same night with their babysitter ;) I have an older friend & neighbor that has been there for my family MANY times. Especially almost 4 years ago when our son was "born sleeping." She continues to help with our other children, visits our Porter's grave & leaves little things for him, she'll send me notes letting me know she hasn't forgotten about our angel, she will randomly bring us dinner, she offers to help with my kids ANY time! She is just AMAZING & we are grateful for all she (& her family) have done & continue to do for us. I made her favorite cookies yesterday & my husband wrote her a note letting her know how wonderful, thoughtful, selfless, caring, giving...just all around amazing & dropped it off last night :)
ReplyDeleteCute! Can you possibly email me which lilywrap patterns you and her used?? I'd like to make some for December.
ReplyDeleteHi Lora, I'll email you the info on the Lily Wraps!
DeleteThose Lily Wraps turned out so beautiful! What a fun giveaway too. I have been thinking about who I would write to and decided to write one to my husband. I've been hormonal lately and he needs to know how much he means to me, especially through losing our baby girl. He continues to listen and comfort me and strengthen me.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great give-a-way. I LOVE the wizard of oz. Made my kids love the wizard of oz and now passing it on to my grandchildren.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great giveaway idea! My kids and I decide to write a little thank you/love note to my husband/they father. I think we forget sometimes to be thankful for the things that people are "expected" to do for us each day. It was a nice excuse to remind him that we love him and are thankful for all he does.
ReplyDeleteI decided to write a thank you note to one of my dearest friends/co worker. Her and I have been through alot the eight years i have been at work. She is someone who has always been there for me, and is someone who knows all my secrets and has been there to listen and give me advice. Life gets crazy and its nice to have a friend to turn to, just to remind you want life is about. What a great giveaway. I love the ideas you came up with, very darling.
ReplyDeleteI have a wonderful friend who has been there for me through many tough times as well as good times so I sent her a Thank you note today telling her how thankful I am to have her in my life. She was one person during a very difficult time in my life stood by my side and never once wavered. She also sent me gifts and cards and always wanted to let me know she was there....she is the most special friend I have in my life and it wouldnt be the same without her in it. On another note, I absolutely LOVE the Ruby Slippers!! They are adorable....Again Thanks to Kristen for letting us all participate in Rubys Birthday....Such a special yet bittersweet few weeks...:)
ReplyDeleteI love this wizard it oz theme. I also saw wicked this summer and loved it. I sent my mom a thank you text to let her know how much I appreciate her and love her. She is my rock and I know I can talk to her about anything and she'll listen. We talk almost everyday, about really nothing at all. It's just nice to talk. I love her.
ReplyDeleteCarrie Bean
Even though this person didn't do anything special particularly for us, I sent my child's principal a thank you note for all his hard work. It's nice to be appreciated sometimes!
ReplyDeleteI sent a Facebook message to an old Bishop of my church who shares a scripture with me ten years ago that changed my life. Wanted to let him know the impact he has had on my life. Great giveaway gift!
ReplyDeleteI will send a note to a friend that organizes the meals for the missionaries in our ward. She works hard to make sure that they are fed.
ReplyDeleteThis is not an entry comment. Just wanted to say that I think this is the most creative giveaway. So fun!!! Thanks for being a part of this. Kristin's sister: Andrea
