Giveaway #2 is from my friend, Brigette.
Brigette and I met through the blog world after Ruby passed away.
She reached out to me because she has also lost a child and I’m so grateful to her for encouraging words.
I was able to meet her in person not too long ago and she is always willing to help out and lend a hand whenever possible.
Here is what she has to say:
"Hi there and happy Ruby giveaways!!!
I met Kristin through the angel mom world.
I started following her blog when I heard of her sweet daughter Ruby!
My son Kael passed away at 6 months old a few years before Ruby so I wanted to reach out and let sweet Kristin know she wasn't alone.
Honestly reading her blog she has probably taught me more than I have taught or helped her.
She has the most amazing attitude and is always doing good for others! Thank you Kristin!!
I asked Kristin if I could do the 12th day give away as it is Kael’s day of the month he was born and she was so kind to say yes!!
So on to the giveaway!!
I am giving away a Red scarf and hat along with a picture frame.
Red obviously because it reminds me of Ruby. Every time I see red I think of this beautiful sweet angel! Scarves make me feel warm and comfortable and put a smile on my face.
The same that seeing sweet Ruby's pictures make me do. They make me smile.
I also am including this 4 x 6 picture frame because I love pictures!
They are so great to help us capture our memories which I feel like are so important!
When I went to Kristin's house she had beautiful pictures of Ruby on her wall so this reminds me of her as well.
All that I ask to join this giveaway is that you do something kind for someone else.
Smile as you walk by, say hello, pay for them to park, or for their coffee, anything to make someone else smile.
Happy birthday dear sweet Ruby!!!"

I love that she chose stuff that reminded her of Ruby & me.
Plus it’s the perfect giveaway for the cold months that are coming up.
Leave a comment letting us know you did your kind deed.
Winner will be chosen October 30th.
Thanks Brigette!
Our family has done a few kind deeds so far today- kids held the door open for people at church. We made sugar cookies for neighbors & have been smiling at everyone we pass. It's been fun :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kindness and friendship to Kristin. I'm sorry to hear of the loss of your angel baby. This weekend we donated quite a bit of frozen meat to our bishop to distribute to ward members in need. :)
ReplyDeleteI smiled and said thank you to all the volunteers that helped those of us who ran the Chicago Marathon today. 12,000 volunteers for 45,000 runners! Amazing work!
ReplyDeleteI am also sorry to hear of your son. A mother should never have to bury a child. My heart goes out to all who have lost a child. My act of kindness was donating money to a child who was battling cancer. I am also in a death and dying class at school and for an assignment we are suppose to do random acts of kindness because we never know the battles that others are fighting. I am trying to smile at others who look like they are having a bad day or who just need a smile. A simple smile can do alot for someone. I send hugs, prayers, smiles and love you and kristens way.
ReplyDeleteMy kind deed today wasn't anything spectacular. We had family over today. I listened to my college niece's tell me their boy troubles and I gave them a little advice, but mostly listened.

Aren't the mommies we meet through our common bond of our angels just amazing? Luckily, I knew Kristin before we had this bond, but she is amazing and such a great example to me. And Ruby is so special and lovely, there is no doubt they are meant to be mother and daughter. My kind deed was inviting a friend who just moved to Spanish Fork out for some fun tomorrow. I can only imagine how lonely a new city would be. It's a plus for me too.
ReplyDeleteCute giveaway idea, Brigette! So glad that you and Kristin can support each other. I was able to do something kind for my husband (and his students) when he asked me late last night to make birthday cupcakes for a student in his early morning seminary class. I had to stay up a bit late and loose a little bit of sleep but he said the cupcakes were a hit for his students at 6am this morning and he was grateful!
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun giveaway. So cool all the great friends that you have made through your sweet babies. Love reading all great stories everyone shares!
ReplyDeleteMy good deed was helping a guy pay for his groceries he didn't quite have enough money and had his kids putting snacks and special treats backi had the cashiers ring the snacks and special treats up I paid and another cashiers ran the bag to them telling them that they had forgot a bag but to see the smiles on the kids faces when they realized their snacks were there was priceless!
ReplyDeleteI am going to be making a freezer load of breakfast muffins to pass out to the new moms in our neighborhood. So many people are having babies right now!
ReplyDeleteI complemented a substitute teacher at the school today.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part about these giveaways is seeing all the people who join in to giveaway and the people that Kristin has met along the way. What a great blessing.
ReplyDeleteNot an entry. Just a comment from an Aunt who loves and misses baby Ruby.
I am behind m, I have tried all month to do nice things as I need to remember to serve others as have kindly done to me. I have helped a few sisters in my ward and have made an effort to smile and say hi to people around me.
ReplyDeleteWe bought dinner for my in-laws as a small way to say thanks for all they do.
ReplyDeleteI try to do something every day, I love this idea. Whether big or small we can all make a difference through kindness. I've done my deed today 😉
ReplyDeleteI helped some people at the pumpkin patch last night. It was little stuff, but that counts, right? ;)
