Giveaway #10 is from my dear friend, Stacie Hunt.
I met Stacie while living in Vegas.
They recently moved to Moab, which is a little bit closer to where we live now, but still not close enough.
Luckily I’ve been able to see her a couple times as of late.
Stacie is married, has an adorable boy, Grayson (who rivals Hank in cuteness), and works as a nurse.
Here is what Stacie has to say:
“I met the Warburton’s in Las Vegas just after the passing of their sweet little girl, Ruby.
It’s amazing to me how someone going through such a trial could have time to lift others burdens as well.
Kristin did just that for me as we became instant friends.
She and Jared are such a genuine, kind, and loving couple.
The kind of parents I’m sure Ruby is proud of!
Though I never had the privilege to meet their baby girl, I feel like I know her just from reading/hearing stories and looking through those priceless pictures taken during her short time on earth.
It’s easy to sense the sweetness and love she had to offer.
Kristin has done a great job at keeping her sweet spirit alive and spreading that love even further.
I imagine Ruby gets just as excited and looks forward to her birthday month every year!
I especially look forward to the challenge to serve others a little more during this time.
So here is my giveaway…
I made this apron (with the help of my talented mother-in-law) since it reminds me of service.
Whether it’s cooking a meal for someone, cleaning, or just getting your hands a little dirty to lift someone else’s burden.
Of course there is red to honor and remember sweet Ruby June.
To enter, comment with an act of service you could do for someone with this apron on (with a commitment to follow through even if you don’t win it)
Good luck!”
I think I might be a bawl baby because every post makes me cry.
Stacie has been through a lot and has come out the other side smiling.
She is definitely an inspiration to me!
I also love this apron and how the entry ties in with it.
Winner will be chosen October 30th.
Thanks for such a great giveaway!
I would bake come Christmas candy with it and distribute it to the neighbors with a church movie. I have never made candy before but always wanted to. I actually collect aprons. I have several. This one is beautiful and a great reminder of Ruby.
ReplyDeleteI love this! Such a cute giveaway. I love to bake, so this would be perfect since I don't own an apron! I would make some Christmas goodies (sugar cookies, caramels, my prize-winning fudge ;) & more) to give away "secret Santa" style during the upcoming Christmas season. Seriously SO cute!

ReplyDeleteFirst, this apron is darling! I love to cook/bake. That's how I think I can make people better -- "What can I make them and run over?" Food cures all :)
ReplyDeleteSo cute Stace! I have two wonderful friends that are about to have babies....I am planning on taking a meal or two into both of them. I am a big fan of how food can ease a burden. Whether it be cookies to uplift or a full meal to help out...food is always a good way to serve others.
ReplyDeleteI would bake someone some cookies :)
ReplyDeleteI enjoy baking more than cooking. My mom, sisters and I try rio get together every December to bake goodies for others. I would definitely wear it for that.

my act of service- - being with my cute daughters in the kitchen.. spending some time with them baking and teaching them how to cook. and then having them deliver what we make to some of our neighbors :)
ReplyDeleteI love the idea in the entry above me! I am not very good at baking so saying I am going to bake is good, but might not happen. :) I am taking dinner to a friend this Friday since she has a new baby. It's my favorite thing to do. Not just because it is helpful, but because when I lost my baby girl, I had dinners for three weeks. I felt so loved and cared for by those around me and I made a promise to myself that I would always make a dinner for others when they have babies because I know how much it meant to me. I will also throw in that I will let my children cook with me this week. I don' do that quite enough. I hope I win! The apron is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI will bake some treats for my visiting teaching ladies and I will let my kids help me because they LOVE to help
ReplyDeleteme in the kitchen I don't have the patience to let them very often.
Adorable apron! I would for sure make a neighbor some goodies!
ReplyDeleteI'm planning on making Christmas cookies for my daughter's daycare teachers to let them know how much I appreciate them!
ReplyDeleteI would use it to make homemade baby food for my baby, Claire!

ReplyDeleteYou're so talented, Stacie! I would wear the apron to Walmart to buy some cookies to give to someone...since we all know cooking and baking are not my skill. ;)
