Giveaway #15

Giveaway #15 comes from another favorite person of mine, Shirley.

Shirley and I met while I was living in Spanish Fork right before moving to Vegas.

We became good friends, but I have to say I think we became closer after I moved.

We have had some experiences that have made us grow closer.

She, too, has lost a baby and we have been able to share, talk and understand each other.

We had our rainbow babies a couple months apart and it has been so fun to see them together.

Shirley is extremely crafty and a master sewer. She puts together tutorials for the Ribbon Retreat Blog

Here is what she has to say:

"I am so happy to be doing a giveaway this year. I was so sad to miss out last year, but I entered every single one.
Doing service in memory of Ruby is one of my favorite things.
Kristin and I were neighbors a little over three years ago when they lived in Spanish Fork.
We have kept in touch ever since and Kristin is one of my most precious friends.
I am so grateful for how she shared Ruby's strong spirit with all of us so we could want to be a little bit better.
Ruby taught me about love and how it is one of the most amazing powers in the world.
I am better because of the sweet lesson she taught.
After Ruby's first birthday I lost my own baby girl, Annie, at 18 weeks.
Kristin helped me through so many of my emotions and still helps me so much.
I am so grateful for her love and that we have a stronger bond through our sweet angels.
I know that Annie and Ruby are friends, and I like to think they are with us when we get together. The spirit is always strong when we talk about them and what they have taught us.

With Ruby turning three, I know she would have LOVED tutus.
This year I am giving away a red tutu and red and white headband:

rubyjunebirthday

The headband can be on glitter elastic headband or a metal headband.

The tutu is about 11" long and would fit probably age 2 to 7 or 8. It's quite stretchy.

To enter this giveaway all you need to do is write at least one letter (preferably more) to someone you love and let them know how much you love and appreciate them and why you love them so much.
We just read a book in book club that was all corresponding letters and it made me wish we still wrote letters.
Make it fun by sending it through the mail, because who doesn't love to get a letter through the mail?
Just comment letting us know when you've written your letter and how many you wrote for extra entries.

Thank you so much for participating and spreading the love.
Happy Birthday Ruby June! You are so loved and cherished. Give Annie a hug for me."

I’m in love with this headband!

I’m sure if Ruby were still here we would have LOTS of tutus around our house.

I love the idea of writing a letter to enter.

Winner will be chosen October 30th (so hurry and write that letter!)

Thanks Shirley for such a great giveaway!

  3. I cheated and had my daughter help with the letters. She is 3 and loves to help. We wrote to her "nana" and "poppie" because they are pretty much her favorite. When we finished she decided aunt panda needed one. This was a great idea! We will do it more often! Sometimes it is easy to forget how simple a project can be and it kept her very entertained.

  7. I love this!! I have my children send cards to my parents from time to time. I think often about how my time is so full of childrens' activities and my parents are now home--retired and I'm sure sometimes lonely. We get so wrapped up in our own lives that they sometimes feel forgotten.

  14. So cute! My daughter is totally into writing letters these days, and mailing them off! It reminds me so much of myself at her age, always wanting to receive and send snail mail! She and I wrote letters today, mine to a friend who moved away, whom I miss very much, and her's was to a new friend she met at school.

  18. Adorable set for any precious girl!! I wrote a left to my best friend of 20+ years (how am I that old?!?). We have known each other since we were 11 and been best friends ever since. Even though we talk or text everyday, I just wanted to send her the note reminding her how wonderful I think she is. I told her to keep it in her purse, so if she ever doubts what a blessing she is, she can pull ir out and have proof. This was a wonderful reason to "earn" and entry!
