Luke had his first official dentist appointment today.
I have heard so many mixed ideas on when to take your child in, but since we have good dental insurance right now that pays for check ups I figured we might as well give it a go.
It went SURPRISINGLY well.
Luke was awesome.
I think he just liked all the fun things they had in the waiting room, including a mini movie theater.
When they called Luke’s name he walked right back in the room and hopped up on the chair.
They gave him a stuffed Curious George to hold while they laid him back.
He opened his mouth right up for the dentist and left it open while he brushed, flossed, and did a fluoride treatment.
I was so impressed with how great he was.
He got stickers, a balloon and a lion mask that he went around the office growling at everyone with.
He was the life of the party office.
I'm so touched by your story and I love the name Ruby! I found your blog through my sisters. By best friend lost a baby and it took her a long time to decide on a headstone. She just got it last fall. It is beautiful and perfect. Look at her blog noemptychairsblog.com I'm so sorry for your loss!
ReplyDeleteWow! That is amazing he did so well! I can't even imagine Ryan doing all of that. That's great you have good insurance. He is absolutely adorable with that lion mask. I can't believe he is getting so big.
ReplyDeleteI love it! Did you end up going to the one I told you? He did so good, a lot better than some 5 or 6 year olds I've had in my chair, lol!
ReplyDeleteHe is one of the cutest boys I have ever seen. Glad he liked the dentist, my kids LOVE going - its weird :)
ReplyDeletethat is great! i started taking joss when she was 12 months but she is no where near as good as luke is. we are hoping that she's better next month when she has another check-up. 5th times a charm, right? :) love him in the mask!

Hahaha, I love the picture of him with the mask on. Not sure why, but it's cracking me right up. Glad he was so good and it went well.
