How we spent our weekend

What I did:

Picked up a gorgeous jewelry box to hold my Ruby jewelry.

The top is engraved with “More Precious Than Rubies”

I set up my sewing machine in our empty (baby Ruby’s) room :(

I decided if I have it set up I will be more inclined to work on my projects.

And I was.

I made Luke some new ties for church.

I wish I would have got a picture of him in one of them, he look too cute for words.

I spent most of my President’s day cleaning my house while watching Hoarders.

It was definitely a productive cleaning day.

An “I even clean my fridge inside and out” cleaning day.

I think watching Hoarders really helped with motivation.

What Jared did:

He was finally able to get out on his mountain bike.

He has only been one other time since moving here and I knew it was driving him crazy.

The weather is perfect here right now so he was itching to get out.

He spent the rest of his weekend working on a project for Luke.

Here is a little peak:

I will post a picture when it is all done.

Luke is going to love it!

What Luke did:

Read his books in his fort while I mopped the floor.

Drew circles on his white board.

Drank a sonic slush “teat” (treat).

He spent a lot of time “helping” mom clean and “helping” dad in the garage.

He was mostly just dang cute (and a little silly).

Overall it was a nice 3-day weekend.

I had a rough couple ‘moments’ dealing with my emotions of Ruby’s passing, but life is still pretty good around here.

  3. Oh I want some ties! Those are to die for! I love them. Isn't it hard that sometimes you just can't enjoy the moment fully because for me when we are having a good time that is when I always think how much better it would be if Pierce was here. Such is life. I am sorry that it is your too. :(
