For those of you interested in the tie tutorial I used this one here.
I also found this one that I think is the same but has more options for different size patterns.
It was VERY easy and look how cute Luke looks:

About a month ago, I tripped over my laundry basket.
A big, easy to see laundry basket.
It was late at night and I wanted to scream but both Jared and Luke were asleep.
Immediately, my pinky toe swelled up and over time turned purple and red.
Even a month later it is still sore to touch.
I think I might have broken it.
I don’t think they do much for a broken pinky toe.
According to WebMD I just need to give it time to heal on it’s own.
Who knew I could be so clumsy?
I guess you all do now.
*********************************************************************
We Jared gave Luke a haircut today.
I had to start parting his hair for a little while because it was too long to spike up.
Oh, the shame.
Never fear though, the faux-hawk is back and cuter than ever.
***********************************************************************
I think our car is on it’s last leg wheel.
We love not having a car payment so we are going to keep hanging on as long as we can.
We have taken it to the shop several times and several (I mean several) dollars later it still is dying.
It’s not even that old of a car.
What the heck?
*************************************************************************
Yesterday we took Luke to see Puss N Boots.
There is a dollar theater not far away so we thought we could have a family outing.
If it was a bust then we wouldn’t be out much.
Luke did awesome.
He sat and watched the whole movie.
He got a little antsy for about 10 minutes.
I loved listening to the 40 year old man sitting in back of us who thought this movie was the funniest thing ever.
Even though I am not a fan of animated movies, Luke of course loves them.
And for Luke I will do anything.
Well, just about anything.
***************************************************************************
Today marks 4 months since my angel left this world.
Thank you for helping me to still feel the love.
***************************************************************************
I am thinking about making one of these.
Do you think I could pull it off?

One week today I will be driving to California to be in the audience at the Ellen DeGeneres show.
I am so excited.
More than excited, I am ecstatic.
On my agenda for the week:
Find the perfect outfit to make my television debut
Practice my roger rabbit in the mirror, make sure it is still up to par
Ellen!!!! Awesome! I hope its all that and a bag of chips! How exciting.
ReplyDeleteWhat if I pay you, will you make me two of those ties? I don't sew, you know that. As for Ellen, so super jealous. I hope she gives away something good. I think you should wear the blue Dance Company outfit. You are sure to stick out. WebMD is correct, you can't do anything for a broken toe. I broke mine once and it hurt like a mother. I kept re-injuring it also. And last but not least...please ship Luke to me ASAP, I could eat him.
ReplyDeleteYou are super talented!! I hope you get tv time at the Ellen show how super fun! Praying for you and your sweet family always! Hugs
ReplyDeletethe ties are adorable!!! I love the fabric you chose too.
ReplyDeleteOuch! I hope your toe is better. That sounds like it really hurt.
Cute ties, and yes you can totally make the playhouse. Luke would Love it! I told you maybe Ellen will give you a car, I will keep my fingers and toes crossed, you do the same! Well maybe just your fingers it will hurt your little broken toe :(
ReplyDeleteI am so excited for you on Ellen!! I hope you do win a car... that would solve one problem! ;) And you could totally make that card table tent thingy, we sell a pattern on TRR if you need one. Someday I would like to do one if we ever get felt!
ReplyDeleteI love your blog. Even though you are so far away, you write just as though you were still next door.
Hugs to you!
