Labor Day weekend

I am sitting here listening to the craziest rainstorm.

It has been the weirdest weather here in Vegas.

I thought the rain always evaporated before it hit the ground, but recently it has been non-stop rainstorms around here.

Unfortunately, the rain doesn’t cool things down. It just makes it humid and muggy.

I enjoy it while I can though.

We just got back from a weekend in Utah.

If you are wondering if we go to Utah every weekend, the answer is yes.

It seems like there is always something going on that we MUST go home for.

This past weekend was Payson Onion Days and we just couldn’t miss it.

It was another busy weekend and it went way too fast.

Saturday I went to Midway days with my mom and sis to the big craft fair. I love this and it is another event that I just can’t  miss.

Later that night I met up with my HS girlfriends for dinner at Happy Sumo.

Jared played Mr. Mom all day and took Luke hiking.

These two are definitely cut from the same cloth. They both love the mountains and anything else that goes along with it.

If you are wondering why Luke’s shorts are a little short and feminine it’s because he had to borrow some of his cousin, Roxy’s shorts.

A minor potty accident :(

But he did get some play time with her as well.

(He’s not much of a hugger.)

We couldn’t go the weekend without having a chocolate malt from Parley’s so Jared made sure to bring me one home that night.

Sunday we went to church and then hung out with our nephew, Jade, who is heading out on a mission soon.

We also noticed we had a flat tire on Sunday. A trip is never complete unless something like this happens.

Monday we enjoyed our morning at the parade even though it was pretty hot.  I wasn’t complaining (which is saying a lot, I love complaining) because I knew it could be a lot worse.

Luke and my niece, London, rode some carnival rides and we enjoyed our day at the park.

Days like this are definitely more fun with a little one around. They get so excited about everything.

I love creating memories for him.

My parents finished the day off hosting a shrimp boil.

We made it home without any throw up.

We are settling back into our routine.

Captain underpants/superman has already made his appearance.

I also got a message that Ruby’s headstone was set today. We missed it by two days, but we can’t wait to see it!

Now we are just preparing for our trip to Pennsylvania next week.

I can’t wait to see Amish country!

  1. Potty Accident? I think I need to have that made in to a bumper sticker! Or at least a t-shirt! Your photos look great though!

And I can totally relate to the 'hot and humid' being down here in Houston. It.Is.Miserable.

    :)

  3. What a fun weekend! I had to laugh at Luke's shorts. I didn't even notice! That is so funny though. He looked adorable running around in the mountains. I love time like that, just dad and son. :)
