Must Haves for Summer

Disclaimer: I am not a fashionista. I do not know much about the latest trends. I do like shopping and clothes and I buy what I think is fun.

Here is a list of my must haves for summer.

1. Oversized Sunglasses

I have a small head/face so it makes it hard for me to find oversized sunglasses that still fit my face without looking like I have bug eyes. I would probably fit best in little girl size sunglasses but I would prefer not to wear Dora the Explorer on the side of my face. I finally found some that fit then they broke 2 weeks later. A couple days ago I think I finally found some new shades that will work, hopefully they won’t give me a headache.

2. Colored liquid eyeliner

I have been really into this lately. It’s something to spruce up my normal makeup routine. I am sure it is a big fashion no-no, but I will still do it. My favorite is a teal blue color.

3. Colored skinny jeans

I have bought quite a few pair of these and I love them! I haven’t been able to find any stylish walking shorts so I went with some skinnies to roll up. Plus in the fall I can pair them with boots. Win-win

4. Sun hat

I have been on the hunt for a fun, floppy sun hat. My head is small (see number 1) so again I look like a little girl wearing her mother’s hat. I desperately need one for lounging at the pool so if you come across one that would work shoot me a message or just mail it to me.

5.  Braids

I HAVE to have my hair pulled off my neck in the summertime. I probably should just cut it, but I have found a solution for long hair in the summer. I put a small braid in my hair before pulling it back to make it look like I actually styled my hair that day. Another win-win

6. Wedges

I am loving these shoes right now and wear these all the time. I might need them in black also.

7. Printed tank tops

 

I love wearing these under shirts. Fun way to add print to outfits.

8.  Vintage inspired earrings.

My friend gave me some turquoise ones and I fell in love. I had to find some brass ones. I succeeded while in Utah.

9. Propel Zero

I love these. This is how I can get my water in for the day.

Our weekend looked like this:

We I watched a movie while Jared slept.

Happens every time.

We also got in an argument over washing a washing machine.

It’s just too funny not to document.

Who argues about washing a washing machine?

Apparently we do.

It ranks right up there when we fought over who was going to get off the couch to pop some popcorn.
