We are back in Vegas and I am back to blogging. I hope I can catch up on all the events that have happened in the last two weeks.
Here are some of our favorite moments that happened over the Christmas weekend:
Christmas Eve:
#1 Jared got to go Jeepin’ with his brothers on Christmas Eve Morning:
#2 Visiting Ruby, my grandma, and my grandpa’s grave to light candles for the night
#3 Our annual Lawrence Family Christmas Eve party held at my Aunt’s this year, always yummy food to eat
Luke even ran into Santa out on the street as we were walking into the party
#4 Game time at the Christmas Eve Party:
The Candy Bar game: A new game this year introduced by my cousin’s husband, it’s definitely a keeper, Jared and I walked away with 3 yummy candy bars and lots of laughs
The classic Bingo with a gift exchange (Jared almost took home the sexy man cologne kit, but traded it for a Sonic gift card, dang!)
I added a new game into the mix this year also: unwrapping a gift (lots of tape, extra layers) with big, puffy snow gloves on.
The winner of the game: My mom
Her prize: A candy bra
#5 Lighting lanterns at my grandpa’s grave, we chose a red one to honor Ruby (we almost set one of the trees on fire, yikes!)
#6 Driving to look at the Salem Pond lights after the party
#7 Luke unwrapping a couple gifts that night, one being a very special story book that is read by my mom and dad
Christmas Day:
#1 Yummy breakfast cooked by my parents
#2 Watching Luke open up his train set
#3 Giving Jared a book filled with pictures of him and Ruby
#4 The annual Omelet breakfast (second breakfast for us) at Greg and Heather’s
#5 Spending the whole day with family
Even though I didn’t get my white Christmas, it was still such a great day.
There is just something magical when you have a little one around.
Stay tuned for some of my favorite gifts!
Happy New Year Kristin!! It's so true. Things definitely are more fun at Christmas with a little one to watch and make you laugh.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures. Glad that you had a good Christmas, was thinking of you!!
ReplyDeleteI am crying. I didn't realize how much I missed being home for Christmas until today. I am so glad I got to see all that you did. I am happy you had such a great time. Luke looks excited about that train.
ReplyDeleteChristmas with kids is the best huh? I totally need to read up on the lantern thing. I want to do that on Pierce's Angel day.
