We arrived in Utah really late Friday night (Saturday morning), but we were so happy to be home.
Saturday we bundled up to go out and about as we bought Christmas decorations for Ruby’s Grave.
That night we were able to visit our baby girl’s grave for the first time since we were here for her funeral.
We took some pictures before the tears started flowing.
It was nice to finally be there again.
After we spent some time with her we headed to Jared’s brother’s home for the annual Warburton Christmas Party.
A good time was had by all.
Especially Luke when Uncle Rich turned on The Polar Express on his giant theater screen.
Actually, I think Jared was just as excited about that as well.
We ate yummy food, played games, and opened presents.
Luke got a Lightning McQueen remote control car.
Jared left on Sunday to get home for work.
I stayed behind to spend time with my family.
On Tuesday Night I met up with my High School girlfriends for some Sushi.
It is always a grand ol’ time with them.
Now we have just been preparing for the big day.
Luke has been informing me the last two days that Santa is bringing him a choo choo AND a bus.
I might be making a last minute shopping trip to find a bus!
He told me yesterday Santa is bringing me scissors. How thoughtful!
I also can’t wait for Jared to get back in town.
I found some pictures on my camera I never posted on here and they are too cute not to show.
Luke was hugging, petting, and feeding the animals at the Living Nativity in Las Vegas.
Two more days til Christmas Eve, hope you are all ready!
I think I will be spending my time trying to find a bus.
Kristin! Luke is so cute that I can barely stand it. You should get him the Little People Bus. We have it and everyone loves it. It makes sounds and comes with some school kids and a bus driver.
ReplyDeleteYour son is absolutely precious! Love the way you decorated Ruby's grave!
ReplyDeleteMuch love and hugs as Christmas gets closer, definitely will be thinking of you and your family <3
Ruby's grave looks so loved. I'm so glad you were able to go (and go as often as you'd like while you're here.:) Luke is getting SO big! I can't believe it! He looks less and less like a baby. Ryan changes what he wants everyday. I can't keep up. Just today it's a bicycle. I told him that it would be too big to fit in Santa's sack. :)
ReplyDeleteIt was so good to see you today! I wish we had gotten a picture though. I even brought my camera. Next time for sure!
Merry Christmas!
My heart ached seeing your pictures from Ruby's grave. thinking of you!
ReplyDeleteLuke is a cutie. My little guy loves Lightening McQueen too!
Her grave is beautiful!! You guys did a great job decorating it! I hope this holiday is gentle on you. Hugs mama
ReplyDeleteI am so happy you can be home for the holidays. Ruby's grave looks so nice. I am grateful you can be near her during this time.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the bus and Merry Christmas.
Hi Kristin, I just discovered your blog while looking for a different Warburton family. I have to say that you are a beautiful writer and I have so much empathy for you and your family. Thank you for sharing your story. My little girl was 2 months early and stayed in the NICU for 1 1/2 months, and I am grateful to say she is now a chubby little eight month old. Thank you so much for reminding me of the blessings and trials we all go through, and that we can find peace no matter what happens as long as we trust in the Lord.
