Around here we are preparing for the holidays. In just one week we will be heading to Utah to spend a couple weeks with family. Unfortunately Jared will be traveling back and forth to return to work, but I will be able to stay.
We have a lot of things planned during that time, and I am getting super excited to go home.
We have been busy getting all our Christmas gifts in order.
Today we are going to start wrapping.
We have been making Christmas memories and creating new traditions.
Luke and I watched the Polar Express the other night and he was so into it. Of course he was, it is about a Choo Choo. It was just too funny to watch him as he was so nervous about the Choo Choo going too fast.
Tonight we will be going to see the Living Nativity.
Tomorrow we are meeting up with some ward friends for caroling (lip-syncing for me) and treats.
Around here Jared and I have been busy preparing to give talks about our Savior this coming Sunday.
Luke has been busy playing in his sandbox and playing pretend with his Mickey camping set.
Around here we have decided that we are most likely going to be staying in this house. Originally, we thought we would be here for about 6 months before moving on, but we like it in this house, in this ward so we are staying.
Plus, we really hate moving.
So what does that mean for me?
I have been busy decorating our house, making it feel like home.
I refused to do this for the first couple of months if we were just going to be moving again.
It’s nice to have pictures on the wall again.
I actually made some of the DIY projects I pinned on pinterest. I usually waste all my time just looking at the projects that other people make that I don’t have time for my own.
I will give you a little tour of Luke’s room. It is all about transportation.
I gathered a lot of this stuff with his old room in our townhome in mind so I had to do a lot of re-arranging, but I still think it turned out.
These bookshelves were an idea from pinterest. They are actually spice racks from IKEA, I just spray painted them green.
The yellow canvas was another idea I got from pinterest. I made it different than how they suggested, but I love the way it turned out.
Around here we hope you will have a great weekend!
Oh his room is so cute. How old is he? I think our kiddos are pretty close in age. B and P were just 3 months shy of 2 years apart.
