This past weekend was our annual girl’s trip here in Vegas.
It was kind of nice I didn’t have to drive too far.
Two of my favorite people came into town for a fabulous weekend.
I first met Jen and Yasemin while living in San Diego back in 2005.
I knew we would be life long friends.
Yasemin now lives in Utah and Jen is still in San Diego so Vegas was a perfect meeting place.
On Friday we met up at the hotel to start our weekend.
We couldn’t stop talking and catching up with each other.
A lot of things have changed in each of our lives and we had to get the full scoop.
Jen is pregnant with twins and we had a ton of questions for her.
We decided to continue our conversation over dinner at The Cheesecake Factory.
We never ran out of things to talk about so we were at dinner for quite awhile.
The next morning we worked on our 4th of July crafts and then headed down to the pool.
The pool was so relaxing!
It was actually heated and not just by the sun, it was the perfect temperature.
We all took our magazines and books down to read and relax, but again didn’t get any reading in because we couldn’t stop talking.
We talked about everything we possibly could over the course of the weekend. It was so nice to talk to friends that could relate, support, and laugh with me.
After the pool we stopped for lunch at Cafe Rio. Since Jen doesn’t have one in San Diego, this was a must.
We spent the rest of the afternoon at the outlet mall.
I was in the market for summer tops and walking shorts.
I came away with a pair of shoes and sunglasses.
Typical.
We were exhausted after all the shopping, especially Jen (remember the twins?) that we stopped off for a pedicure.
It was heaven.
We all got fancy flowers on our toes.
This time we actually all closed our eyes, laid back in the massage chairs and didn’t say a word.
We must have been really tired.
In fact, I had talked so much over the weekend my jaw was sore.
No joke.
I am not use to talking so much it seriously ached.
To top off our fantastic weekend we went to see a movie after the pedicures.
We saw The Lucky One, which I thought was pretty cute.
Movies theatres are a real treat for us so we couldn’t let the weekend slip by without going to one.
We woke up the next morning to say our goodbyes and head back to reality.
We only had one mishap the whole weekend. In the middle of the night Jen tripped and bruised her face on the table. I had taken a Benadryl to sleep and was so out of it I didn’t know what had happened.
Oh, good times.
Next year ladies, let’s actually take a picture of all of us together.
Until next year…
looks like you had a fun weekend away! I'm jealous : )
