For the record

I want to record a couple of things about Luke’s personality right now.

Having a 2 & 1/2 year old around is seriously so fun and yet so challenging as well. There is never a dull moment, there is usually crying/screaming or laughing/talking going on around here.

Luke’s favorite game is stop/go. He made it up himself. We race around the room until he yells stop and I have to freeze until he says go. He could play it all day and sometimes he makes me wait a really long time until he says go.

This morning I was trying to stretch and do a little bit of exercise but Luke wasn’t having it. Every time I laid on the ground to stretch he wanted to wrestle. He loves to wrestle. It turned more into a slobber-fest. He would put his whole mouth on my cheek while he tried to pin me down. I couldn’t stop laughing from how wet and slobbery he got me.

He has discovered the word MINE. We are quickly trying to erase this from his vocabulary.

He asks everyday where Nani and Papi are and when we can go see them.

He loves his Gymboree class and is actually listening and participating like he should. We showed up late yesterday and had a minor meltdown when he realized he had missed rainbow rope time.

He doesn’t like to have his picture taken, hence the reason for hardly any pictures on my blog. He always looks away. It is extremely hard to take video as well because he always wants to look at what I am taking a video of…which happens to be a blank wall most of the time.

Luke isn’t much for crafts. In his art class it usually ends up that I make the craft while he tells me where to put stuff. I love crafts so I don’t mind. He did like the craft we made this week which was a spider web with a spider hanging from it. We caked the spider web in glitter. Of course this is the one craft he likes to carry around the house. My carpet is being to look really sparkly.

He is really into trains right now. He wants to play with his trains all day. I am trying to get this to work to my advantage with potty training, I will let you know my plan if it actually works.

He is saying more words and sentences daily. He is getting better at saying the right sounds for each word as well. He actually says Bye instead of Die which is probably a good thing when saying good-bye to someone.

He is a really big tease and loves to steal something I need so I have to chase him around the house. See the stop/go game above.

Other news:

I am getting ready for my girl’s weekend tomorrow. I am hoping to get a little sun to get rid of these white legs. It is a little embarrassing to live in Vegas and be as white as I am. Unfortunately, Luke inherited my white-ness.

I have been addicted to craigslist shopping, you can find some really great deals on there. I do miss the KSL classifieds but I am sure I will scope things out when I visit Utah this summer. Right now I have been trying to find a new computer monitor since our went caput. Everything seems to be falling apart these days, nothing short of our pets heads falling off.

I am in dyer need of a hair color. My roots are atrocious but I keep waiting until I can figure out if I want a change or not. Any suggestions?

I know I have mentioned this before but my car is falling apart also, we just dumped another large sum of money into it so it better last me a couple more years, oh please oh please.

I have been trying to finish up the last of our first year of marriage scrapbook, but since our computer monitor stares at me with a black screen I can’t get much done, plus I am dying to set up my new Sihlouette Cameo but that ain’t going to happen until I find a monitor. I better get on that right now…

  3. I love everything you write about Luke! You are such a good sport. I get so busy sometimes that I don't play those simple games that are so fun. And I am trying to be better about that because they're only this age for so long. I hope the trains work for potty training. I really hope potty training for you is a million times better than it's been for us. :)

That stinks about the monitor! And you got a CAMEO?? Awesome! You had really better get on that! :)
