1. Last Friday night we went to an outdoor movie at The District. They were playing Puss N Boots. This was a good and bad thing. We had taken Luke to see this movie in the theatre so he was actually quite interested in it. Me, on the other hand, would have been okay not seeing this movie again. Once was enough. They did have complimentary popcorn though! They show different movies all summer long. We will definitely be going again.
2. On Saturday we attended our ward Cinco De Mayo party. They had a bounce house for the kids, yummy food, and piƱatas. It then turned into a big water fight. Luke wanted his clothes off (including diaper) to go play in the water, I compromised on letting him take his shirt off. He had a blast splashing and sitting in the water.
3. I think (fingers-crossed) that we finally have our apartment rented. She is suppose to move in tomorrow. This is a huge relief going into summer.
4. I am proud of myself that I got my Mother’s Day gifts all made and shipped out before Mother’s Day. I made fabric flower corsages for the mothers in my life to wear to church. I used a couple different tutorials I found on pinterest. This one here, here and here. (I forgot to take a picture of one of the fabrics I used before I sent it off.)
5. I lost another earring the other day. This time is was when Luke was throwing a tantrum as I tried to put him in the car. When I got home I realized it was gone. By the time I thought about going back to see if I could find it, it was too late. It has been run over, smashed in pieces.
6. This is why me and Vegas will never be close friends:
Yep, that is a cockroach I found in the toilet today! Can you see why I feel the need to scrub everything in sight including myself. Thank goodness they are coming to spray for bugs tomorrow.
7. Luke has become obsessed with a train table they have set up at Toys R Us. He also loves that they have a train that he can sit in there. He asks to go there everyday to play with the choo choo track. He has his own train set but it’s not one that is set up on a cool table. I might have to do some craigslist shopping and find him one…maybe a reward for potty training??
8. Next weekend I will be having another girl’s weekend. This time with my sister-in-laws. We will be spending the weekend in St. George. It should be a great time and I am already counting the days.
9. Jared and I rented Downton Abbey to watch over the weekend. We haven’t finished season 1 yet. I am still deciding if it is something to keep watching. I like it, but don’t know if I am in love with it. It seems a little slow to me.
10. It is just getting too dang hot around here. I don’t want to go outside, cook, exercise, or pretty much move. It makes me too hot. It should be a requirement in Vegas to have covered parking wherever we go.
It's hot here too..ugh!!!!! Love the outdoor theater! And the adorable corsages, love!!
ReplyDeleteHaha I love that... it would be awesome to have covered parking! That cockroach is gross, just looking at it gives me the heebie jeebies. I love how good you are with blogging. I miss blogging so much! Do you guys have a pool or one in your neighborhood? Because that sounds like it would be necessary with all this heat.
ReplyDeleteI'm excited for girls weekend!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness I LOVE the flowers. Great idea for mother's day!
ReplyDeleteI could NEVER live in Vegas with those bugs crawling around. I freak out about a fly!! You are one brave girl :)
Never heard of Downtown abbey and since I am a TV freak I am not going to have to check it out!
I have the same cockroach issues in St George! I absolutely hate them. The other night I started Maude's bath & there were 2 in the tub! Needless to say the tub was super clean for bath time!!! Next weekend at the Dixie Center is the What women want expo. Lots of booths & stuff if you need a break from the heat! Sure do miss the salmon pharmacy days!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love my flower corsage I did wear it to church on Sunday! So fun and cute! Have you watched once upon a time? It just finished season one on abc. I love it, it's a fun show. And I am with you on the hot, I would rather have to put on a jacket than not be able to get cool!
