Thanksgiving in LB/Picture Overload

For Thanksgiving this year we headed to Long Beach.

Jared’s parents are serving a mission there and most of Jared’s siblings were going to visit as well.

We had a 2 room suite in our hotel which was perfect for Luke. It made naptime and bedtime a breeze! Plus, Jared and I could stay up later and watch movies. Going to bed at the same time Luke does (7:30pm) doesn’t make for a fun vacation for us.

It was a jam packed weekend.

We went to the Aquarium of the Pacific, ate yummy Thanksgiving dinner, fed the ducks, played at the beach and took Luke to Seaworld for his 2 year birthday celebration.

I missed Ruby the whole time. This holiday was a lot harder than I thought it would be.

Maybe it was because we weren’t planning on going to Long Beach because we thought we would be home snuggling a newborn.

I also really wanted to go decorate her grave, but we are too far away right now.

I will be able to for Christmas.

However, even though it was hard it was nice to be busy and surrounded by loving family.

  1. I'm glad you guys had a good time. We went to that aquarium when Ryan was just over one. It would be so much more fun now. :) I love the beach this time of year. The picture of you and Luke and Ruby's name is just precious.
