Our Weekend

We had such a nice weekend together as a family.

Friday we spent the day celebrating Ruby’s birthday by baking cookies. Later that night we delivered them to the people in our ward that helped us out while Ruby was in the hospital.

On Saturday we decided to make our way to the strip to check out the Botanical Gardens at the Bellagio.

On our way there we saw Buzz, Woody and Melmo (Elmo). Three of Luke’s favorite people so we had to stop and say hello.

Luke also saw Cookie Monster, Batman, Spiderman, and Ninnie (Minnie). All of which he loved.

After we gave away all our money in tips we decided to walk to the Bellagio since it was such a beautiful day in Vegas (as long as you weren’t looking down at the litter on the street).

Once we arrived, we were surrounded by the autumn season, which was nice since we don’t see many fall colors here in Vegas.

We had to get a picture of the red roses for Ruby.

Once we arrived back home we all took a nap and then ventured out to get some Christmas shopping done.

It was such a nice day spent together as a family.

It was a little bittersweet though.

I kept thinking of what we would be doing if Ruby was here with us.

I would like to think that we would be doing the same thing, making memories together as a family.

She was such a mellow, easy going baby, that she would have loved to have traveled along with us today.

One day we will be able to see the beautiful fall flowers together.
