3 years

Yesterday Jared and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary.

To be honest, we really can’t believe it has only been 3 years.

We have done a lot of living in those three years.

Maybe it seems like longer because both of us have been married before, so to count the years we have been married (even if they weren’t to each other) is a long time.

I am SO glad Jared and I found each other.

I was beginning to wonder if there was someone out there for me.

But there he was, sitting across the table from me at a speed dating activity in our single’s ward.

Who knew?

After he invited me on a trip to Moab and I showed him my mean mountain biking skills, he was hooked.

The rest is history.

In the three years we have been together we have:

-lived in 3 different homes in 3 different cities

-had 2 wonderful children

-had 1 naughty cat

-had Jared graduate with his MBA

-had 2 different jobs

-had the same cars (maybe we will work on that over the coming years)

We are wondering what this next year will bring us.

New cars?

Maybe.

We do have hope for a lot of wonderful things.

To celebrate this year we went all out.

We did a little gift exchanging:

(Thanks pinterest for the candy bar bouquet idea)

Jared gave me a beautiful Ruby necklace.

Since we don’t know too many people out here in Vegas it means no babysitter, so we ordered Pei Wei take out and snuggled up (with Luke) and watched Toy Story 3.

Jared ended up falling asleep on the couch, as usual.

It was very romantic.

As for today, I took Luke to the library for story time and then to the park.

We are trying to settled back down into normal life.

Even though my heart still belongs in Utah, Vegas does do some things right.

Story time and Vegas parks are wonderful!

  2. Congrats guys! I love how you listed all you have done in 3 years. I should make a list myself. I didn't realize you guys were practically newlyweds when we were in Provo. I love Utah as well, but Vegas is always home for me. I hope it brings you many blessings.

  4. I had no idea that you guys were married before. I am so glad you found each other. You both are a great example to me and I'm so glad you're happy. I miss you so much BTW! Ryan keeps asking about Luke. I just tell him that he lives in Vegas. Then he says, "begas? Okay." :)
