It was time

Last Friday we decided it was time to announce to our family some big news:

news

My belly is getting pretty noticeable and I was tired of wearing the 5 shirts that covered it up.

We are very excited and nervous, but we are keeping the faith that we will deliver a healthy and happy baby.

I am 17 weeks along and feeling well.

I am one of the lucky ones that never gets nauseated or sick when pregnant.

At 20 weeks we will have the main ultrasound that will give us more details about the baby’s health.

I am excited to be back in Utah and back with the doctors I know and trust.

I am hoping to have the motivation to go back and blog about the first half of my pregnancy:

* Deciding to get pregnant after our loss

* Finding out we were pregnant

* Finding out the gender

* All the emotions and feelings that have accompanied this pregnancy (it hasn’t all been roses)

Jared posted the announcement to our virtual family and friends on Facebook this weekend as well, so I thought I better post it on the blog too.

Thank you for your love, kindness and support!

  13. "Rainbow Babies" is the understanding that the beauty of a rainbow does not negate the ravages of the storm. When a rainbow appears, it doesn't mean the storm never happened or that the family is not still dealing with its aftermath. What it means is that something beautiful and full of light has appeared in the midst of the darkness and clouds. Storm clouds may still hover but the rainbow provides a counterbalance of color, energy and hope.

    SO, so happy for you and your sweet little rainbow baby. I'm sure Ruby is giving him all sorts of tips and telling him what a wonderful family he's coming into.
