I haven’t been in the mood to write lately, but I really need to document the rest of our Utah trip so I am going to do it the lazy way:
Lots of pictures with brief captions.
You understand, right?
Jared got into town Thursday morning and we spent most our day fixing up this beauty for our renters:
So glad Jared is a handyman. A good-looking one too! Don’t think that I didn’t do anything though, I changed the light bulbs and put on a new door handle. I was very productive.
We ate at some of our favorite restaurants including Barry’s and Zupas.
Yes, Luke really was as ornery as he looks in this picture.
We went swimming at Payson Pool with these bathing beauties.
We took Jared to try the delicious chocolate malt at Parley’s place.
Twice.
It’s a good thing I don’t work at the pharmacy anymore or I would be in serious trouble with those malts. (I was in Utah for ten days and had THREE of them! Yikes!)
We drove up Payson Canyon to Maple Lakes.
We always have to get up in the mountains when Jared comes to Utah. I tease him that he always has to become one with nature/the mountains. He chuckles, but I don’t think he thinks I am very funny.
Luke loves hiking though, I think he will be a good nature buddy for Jared.
This is Luke’s attempt at getting a picture of us.
A little better the second time.
Then it started raining and both boys were in heaven.
Catching raindrops (two peas in a pod becoming one with nature)
Salem Days parade. It was perfect weather and Luke again got enough candy to hoard away and handout at Halloween.
Luke’s attempt at picture taking again.
We took Luke bowling for the first time. He was so serious about the whole thing. He would choose his color of ball then push it down the ramp and hold tight onto the ramp until the pins were knocked down.
He looks adorable in his bowling shoes. I might just have to get some for him to wear because they are so cute on him.
Warning: professional bowling pictures ahead.
Too bad Luke beat us both. No lie.
We ended our weekend by attending our niece, Taylor’s, baby blessing.
We had a wonderful time in Utah….until we started the trek home.
It didn’t end so well. I will save this for another post.
Too be continued…
Looks like you had a wonderful time! Love the bowling pictures. Your niece is absolutely beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love the picture of you kissing Luke by the water. And I love your colored pants!
ReplyDeletewhat a fun time with each other. I am glad you guys could enjoy a little vacation. I love Luke in the bowling shoes too. I can't wait to see him. I am impressed that he even knows how to work your camera.
ReplyDeleteYou two are some serious bowlers! ;) Looks like a good time!
ReplyDeleteIt was so good to see you guys! I'm glad we had a minute to chat. I tried the chocolate malt & I agree it was to die for! I was in town for 3 days & went to Parley's twice. I'm afraid I would eat there all the time if I lived up there.
