A conversation to document

Luke and I talk a lot about his birthday coming up, how he is going to be three and all the things that being three means.

He tells me all the time he wants a choo choo cake for his birthday.

At church today Luke was looking at his train calendar that he bought when we rode the train a few weeks ago.

One picture is of a train all decorated for Christmas.

Here is how our conversation proceeded:

Luke: Lukey ride this train.

Me: We can ride that train at Christmastime.

Luke: Christmastime please?

Me: It’s not Christmastime yet.

Luke: Why cuz?

Me: We have to have Halloween, then your birthday, then it’s Christmas.

Luke: No choo choo cake, no.

Me: You don’t want a choo choo cake anymore?

Luke: No.

Me: How come?

Luke: Pink cake!

Me: You want a pink cake?

Luke: Yes! A baby Ruby pink cake!

Awe, brotherly love!
