Visitors

Our house seemed really quiet today after our weekend with my family in town.

It was nice to have everyone here.

I like having visitors around.

So does Luke. He has been asking me all day where Nani, Papi and Lonlon (London) went.

We kept really busy all weekend.

We ate at the Rio Seafood Buffet
This is one of my parent’s favorite places to eat, they have been known to drive specifically down to Vegas just for this buffet.

We watched General Conference  while I tried to keep my little one entertained
I think he watched enough classic Mickey & Donald cartoons on Jared’s phone to last him a lifetime.

I made our traditional Conference breakfast which consisted of crescent breakfast braids, Orange Julius and cinnamon rolls

We celebrated this guy’s birthday (my brother-in-law)

His birthday dinner at Hash House A Go Go (this was a Man vs. Food favorite dish)

More food from Hash House, big portions, fancy looking, but unfortunately not that tasty

We finished off the night with my favorite, Nothing Bundt Cakes, in all different flavors

And then this little one got an ear infection :(

We also spent the weekend at parks, shopping and watching movies

Jared and I even snuck out of the house to watch the Hunger Games, which I loved by the way.

Even though I was staying busy cooking and keeping toddlers entertained, I really enjoyed conference.

I also taped it so I can go back and actually watch and listen to it better without distractions.

There were a couple different talks that made me think about Ruby.

When it comes out in written format I will share some of the talks with you.

What’s on the agenda for this week, you ask?

We are getting ready for Easter.

We had our FHE lesson tonight about Easter and Luke paid attention through most of it.

Success!

I am also going to try and find new Easter (church) clothes for Luke including fabric for a new tie…

…if I get ambitious.

I am thinking of taking Luke to the Springs Preserve for the Easter egg hunt on Saturday, but I don’t know how crazy it is going to be.

Hmmm….decisions.

I am trying to sell our extra crib right now too. If you are in need of a brand new, never used crib check out this link:

We are also STILL trying to find a tenant for our condo in Orem.

Pass the word along:

I am in the market to find some fashionable shorts for summer, it is getting hot here and fast!

Any suggestions?

It’s my Grandpa’s birthday this week so I am trying to come up with something to celebrate his day.

And last but not least, my cousin is going to be delivering her baby boy, so excited for her!

  2. I thought of you and Ruby in a few different talks this weekend. I also thought about you because of your last post. Family and mommyhood was totally on my mind and it seemed like so many talks were on that. I wish I had known you were making a tie! I would say tell me what fabric you like from The Ribbon Retreat and I would get it for you. Next time let me know. :) And I have never had a Nothing Bundt Cake. I think it is time I did. :)

  5. Looks like a great weekend. I love having family around...I LOVE noise!

Conferencne was great, there were a lot of things that I needed to hear.

    Hunger Games was so good!!

Hope you have a wonderful Easter and that the day is gentle on you, I love this holiday because I talk with my kids about the resurrection and that this holiday is so important to our family because this is what makes it possible for us to be with Beckett again someday.

    Thinking of you often ((Hugs))
