Tumbling, Snuggling & Wrestling

Yesterday was Luke’s last day of Gymboree and today was his last day of tumbling.

I already made sure to sign him up for another session of Gymboree & also some art classes.

It has been really good for him and I hope he will like the art classes as well.

He is not one for coloring.

Every time I pick him up from Nursery, they hand me his picture that is completely blank.

It makes me wonder what he is doing while everyone else is coloring!

He does LOVE scissors, glue, and markers though.

I tried taking a video of him yesterday at Gymboree, but it was pretty poor quality so I will spare you (I don’t have a fancy schmancy Iphone, I am still old school).

Instead here are some poor quality photos from my phone.

Today after Luke woke up from his nap all he wanted to do was snuggle on my bed.

We laid there for about an hour while I tickled his back, arm and ran my fingers through his hair.

He even fell back to sleep for a little while.

Whenever I would stop rubbing his arms he would make me aware of it.

He became pretty bossy with exactly how he wanted it done.

These moments are few and far between but I do treasure this time.

Luke has went from a baby who never liked to snuggle to a very cuddly boy.

In fact, tonight he wanted to cuddle again after he hurt his foot.

He didn’t even know he had scraped his foot until I pointed it out it was bleeding.

After that, he acted like his foot had been cut off. He wouldn’t stop complaining and crying over it.

Finally, he calmed down after a band-aid, Mickey mouse socks and a good ol’ fashion snuggle.

(He is the spitting image of Jared in this photo)

After we snuggled for a bit this afternoon he wanted to wrestle (maybe he needed something manly after all that cuddling).

Coming from an all girl family I am not use to wrestling.

I couldn’t stop laughing at how relentless he was at trying to pin me down.

I was laughing so hard it made Luke start to laugh which made him try even harder to wrestle me. It was a vicious cycle.

I have a feeling I better get use to these wrestling matches.

Tomorrow we are hosting playgroup at our house.

Hopefully Luke will be okay with sharing his toys.

It could be interesting.

If the wind would stop blowing we may head over to the park as well.

Luke is loving the swings, especially when I do an underdog.

And he also can’t get enough running outside in his “run fast shoes”

I am working on a post about our last minute trip to Laughlin.

Stay tuned & happy Friday!
