The only way I can remember what we have been doing lately is to go back and look at the pictures on my cell phone.
So here is what we have been doing via the cell phone:
My sister, Andrea, and her kids came down to visit for spring break and we took the kids to Classic skating to do some riding, bouncing, climbing and playing.
Luke had such a great time that yesterday I met up with my friend, Shirley, and her kids to play there again.
We were the only ones there and it was so nice!
A few weeks ago my sister, Lindsay, and I took the kids to the Discover Gateway Museum where they played all day.
A lot has been happening with Hank:
He had an ear infection for the third time and he was completely miserable.
It was heartbreaking.
When he did actually sleep, he sure looked cute:
He now has 5 teeth and is still trying to learn how to crawl.
He is getting pretty frustrated, so I decided I would finally try and help him learn.
We are working hard at it.
However, I like my babies non-mobile.
I even put him in a laundry basket so all the toys were within reaching distant and he doesn’t have to move far to grab a toy.
He also ate his first sucker, thanks to my friend, Amber, who we spent the day with at the park.
He loved it and has already had another one for Easter.
He has even recently learned how to hold his own bottle.
He is growing up so quickly.
{Double fisting his food, he doesn’t like baby food by the way, grown up food only}
In two days he will be 10 months, which means we are creeping up on a year.
Yikes, when did that happen?!
Luke is still an awesome big brother.
When we got home one night from visiting my parents we went to get the boys out and they were both asleep holding hands.
They like to wrestle a lot and Hank can usually hold his own.
When they aren’t wrestling they are cuddling.
We had to compare my babies when they were 9 months. Luke was by far the chunkier baby, and even though I don’t think they look alike, they are both adorable.
Look at those rubberband wrists!
Luke has been kept busy with school.
Randomly he will break out in a song that I didn’t know that he knew.
He had a field trip to the fire station and Jared took work off and went with him.
He had a dentist appointment and did awesome.
No cavities.
I’m hoping he gets his dad’s teeth.
We have been going to story time at the library every week and Luke loves it.
We have come along way from when I use to take him to story time as a toddler.
I usually would end up leaving early because he would just want to run around or he would end up crying over something. Ha!
Remember this story? It happened at a library and I never wanted to show my face again.
Now he is an angel and sits, listens and participates.
Hank actually enjoys story time as well.
I have also been doing a little homeschooling with Luke. We work on sight words every day and when he knows a certain number he gets a reward.
This day I took him to Trafalga to ride some rides.
He was a dare devil and had to sit in the back row and put his hands up during the pirate ship ride.
He also kept say “oh yah!” as he went up and down on this ride.
School’s out at the end of this month and then we begin summer fun.
We have a lot of things planned that will keep us busy.
My planner is already really full.
Should be great summer!
