In my opinion…

…every place should have a drive through.

Do you know how convenient it would be to be able to run errands without getting your child in and out of the car 50 times?

Not to mention the big debate when they fall asleep in the car and you still have a list in your hand a mile long to get done.

Do I wake him up and have an ornery child the rest of the time while I am in and out of stores or do I take him home and risk not going out again because you have lost motivation?

A library definitely needs a drive-through. Especially if you already have books on hold and just need to pick them up.

A post office is a must for a drive through. Especially because the post office is just unpleasant as it is. The question, should I wake Luke up, when I am on my way to the post office is always a NO. Standing in that line with ornery postal workers AND an ornery child is never a good idea.

Why hasn’t anyone thought of putting a drive through at the grocery store? There would need to be rules on this one. Five items or less on common items. I am sure you would always get those picky people that you didn’t get the right size can or brand for them. And they really needed it to be low sodium. If that’s the case GO IN YOURSELF. Save the drive through for people who just need milk and a loaf of bread NO MATTER THE BRAND.

I know in Utah it is a common thing to have a drive through at the gas station/convenient store, but they should really implement this everywhere.

The pharmacy I work at has a drive through and I hate that thing with a passion while I am working. The buzzer going off just makes me cringe, but you better believe that when I am not working I use it every time.

What other places are a must have for a drive through?

This morning I met together with my friends and neighbors from my old neighborhood in Spanish Fork.

It was such a great morning chatting with them.

I miss being so close to everyone there.

I forgot to take a picture, but there where 8 adults and 13 kids.

It was craziness, but so much fun.

On the way home we stopped by to make sure Ruby wouldn’t be pinched on St. Patty’s Day.

When I got back in the car I changed the radio station and this song was on:

It was right on the verse that says:

Lord make me a rainbow, I’ll shine down on my mother

She’ll know I’m safe with you when she stands under my colors

Oh, and life ain’t always what you think it ought to be, no

Ain’t even gray, but she buries her baby

I love beautiful reminders like these that God and Ruby are close by.

  1. I love that song. What a sweet reminder and a beautiful st. patty's day grave. I agree with the drive through. Our grocery store here lets you place your order on line and then they deliver to your car. As much as you need to buy, and they do all the shopping. It costs $5. So worth it.

  2. I totally agree on the drive through. Papa Murphys has one and I love them. I HATE that Spanish Fork Library doesn't have one. If I ever get a ticket for leaving my kids in the car I probably will still leave them in there just to run up and drop books off. It was so fun seeing you on Friday! I really need to come and visit you though. There is just so much we can talk about, that we can't talk about in a big group. I absolutely love how well you set up Ruby's grave. There is no doubt that she is one loved little girl.

  3. How sweet I love that song. And I seriously agree with you on the drive-through. In fact I started reading your post out loud to Nate and said the Post Office, and then there it was on your list :)
