A quick hello

Just a quick post so I can get back to packing, or maybe I will sit down and watch all the shows on my DVR before we cancel it.

Decisions, decisions.

Anyway, we are in the mist of packing right now and trying to get all those obnoxious little moving details in order for this to be a smooth transition.

CAM00537

(We really LOVE Tootie Fruities cereal, he he)

We decided last night (can we say last minute?) to change the place where we will be living.

It will work out better this way because with the other option there would have been a HUGE possibility that we would have to move again into a temporary place and then finally move into a permanent place and we all know how much I despise moving.

Now we will be renting a home in Pleasant Grove (close by Ruby’s grave) that we can stay in until we find something permanent.

Yesterday I was lacking some serious motivation to pack. I would find myself just staring at everything that needed to be done, but not doing anything about it.

I had more ambition being 8 months pregnant with Ruby and moving to Vegas than I did yesterday.

However, a fire was lit under my butt this morning and I was back organizing and boxing.

Let’s hope it continues or it will be a long weekend of staring.

Luke’s been a great helper as long as I am not boxing up any toys.

He decides that even though he hasn’t played with a certain toy for 6 months NOW is the time he would like to get it out and examine it.

However, it does always ask, “Mom, you need help with that?” “Mom, you need my help?”

Why yes Luke, I do.

It’s been quite a few late nights for Jared and I and the really bad (or good?) thing is we still have a half of a Nothing Bundt Cake in the fridge from my birthday and I always find myself needing it around 11pm.

I have stopped working out this week too because packing is a workout, right?

Right (or that’s what I tell myself every morning).

Anyway, that’s about all the update I have for you all.

I will try and post up until our internet is shut off.

3 more things:

* Whomever sent me the “heaven saying” vinyl in the mail the other day I want to say thank you. I love it! I would love to know who sent it so please let me know!

* Am I the only one that find hashtags hard to read sometimes? I have to really concentrate to figure out what letters go to what word. It strains my brain.

* Isn’t it ironic that I just barely got around to programming Vegas radio stations in my car and now we are moving? #firstworldproblems

Happy weekend everyone!

  1. Love this post! So excited for you guys to be closer! And yes I find hash tags hard to read too! I have actually put together some pretty funny things trying to read some before I realize what they are actually suppose to say!

  2. So happy and excited for you guys, and a little jealous! But good luck with the move and saying goodbye, I always get emotional over moving, even when I want so badly to move on,

  3. The picture you have of the boxes looks like you are making great progress! I remember packing when Ryan was a baby and how "hard" that was. If only I knew. That's good Luke is being as helpful as he can be. :) I figured out what hashtags were and now almost every single one bugs me. Not a lot, but a little. Some I just have to giggle on when they are longer than the post OR there are like 8 of them (thanks to my niece). So yeah, you will almost never see me doing a hashtag. :)
