Ft. Lauderdale

Since we missed our last stop on our cruise we decided to book an excursion for when we arrived back in Ft. Lauderdale.

We had a lot of time before our flight left and thought it would be the perfect way to spend our time instead of at the airport.

We booked an Everglades tour to see the alligators via an airboat ride.

We took a bus to SawGrass Recreation park.

We got a tour of the park first where we saw some of the animals/reptiles that they have rescued.

This guy’s name was Cannibal.

Then we got to hold baby alligators, mouth taped closed of course.

Then it was time for the airboat ride.

And then we spotted one:

We really were this close to it too, no zooming involved. Pretty cool.

We also spotted a bird that was devouring a fish he caught.

Definitely a cool experience. Very glad we decided to do it.
