Luke at 3 years

Happy birthday to my favorite boy.

He was born just after midnight on his due date.

Not too many babies are born on their due date, but that’s how my Lukie is.

Everything in order and we don’t stray from that.

To be honest, it feels like Luke has been 2 for a LONG time.

I know everyone says 3 is just as hard if not harder, but I am excited to see what 3 brings us.

His personality is coming out so much more and he makes me laugh every.single.day.

Here are some fun things about Luke right now:

* He loves trains, any kind, he is not particular

* He can count to eleven or higher if you don’t care if the numbers are in order

* His favorite TV shows are Curious George, Tom & Jerry & Doc McStuffins

* He loves to use the word really… “That really hurts!” “I’m really hungry mom.” “This is really hot.”

* He can sing his ABC’s and recognizes some letters

* He asks me all day long, “Whatcha doing mom?”

* He makes a lot of sound effects, it must be a boy thing

* He loves puzzles and can do them by himself

* Asks to move back to Utah all the time

* He is the most observant little 3 year old you will ever meet

* He is a mama’s boy through and through

* He has a routine about everything and he likes to keep it that way

* Still takes 1 nap a day, although he fights me, he definitely needs it

* Loves black milk (chocolate milk)

* Has certain books & stories memorized

* He sometimes calls me mommy Kristin. It’s pretty funny. It usually comes out when he is saying thank you. “Thank you, mommy Kristin.”

* Loves to look at the toy section at Target

* Still my fruit and veggie lover

* Loves Nursery (I am a little nervous for him to transition to Sunbeams next year)

* Loves talking on the phone to Nani & Papi

* Loves hiking with his daddy

* Loves his sister, Ruby, and talks about her all the time

* Is pretty athletic for his age and loves soccer

* He is constantly asking for a “snack”

* He is really good at being polite, saying please, thank you, excuse me, and bless you

We love this little boy with all our hearts.

He is the light of our lives.
