Trains, a date and getting ready

My parents got back into Las Vegas on Friday night and we have had quite the weekend.

My dad needed to get back home so he planned on leaving Saturday morning.

The rest of us headed out to Boulder City to take Luke on a train (choo choo) ride.

He really likes trains right now so we thought this would be something fun to do before the baby arrives.

Luke loved all the choo choo’s.

It was also my first time riding a train too. Even though it wasn’t a very exciting train ride it was still fun to get out.

While we were gone we found out my dad’s truck was running funny so he stopped to take it into the shop for repair.

It turned out he was going to be staying longer than planned.

Saturday afternoon my mom and I went shopping then I headed to my massage appointment.

It was so good! Now I remember why I got pregnancy massages all the time when I was pregnant with Luke.

That night my parents stayed home with Luke so Jared and I could get one last date night in before we are home-bound for awhile.

We went to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner, which is always delicious.

Then we went to see the movie, Moneyball.

It was great to get out with just Jared. It had been a long time since we had a date night.

Now we are just getting ready for the big day tomorrow.

It is a little surreal to me at this point, but we are hoping and praying that everything goes smooth.

My mom is taking over my mothering responsibilities with Luke and I am so grateful for her.

What a relief she has been.

My dad’s truck is still in the shop so looks like he will be here to see our baby girl too.

We will try and keep everyone posted with updates and lots of pictures of our angel.

Here is one last picture of my 38 week pregnant belly.

  7. I am thankful she is here. She is a sweet little angel and a blessing to our family. I am glad mom is there to help. It is kind of neat that dad has to stay. I think it is God's way of letting him meet her right away. I wish it were me.
