Five hundred twenty-five thousand
Six hundred minutes
How do you measure, measure a year?
In daylights, in sunsets, in midnights
In cups of coffee
In inches, in miles, in laughter, in strife.
In five hundred twenty-five thousand
Six hundred minutes
How do you measure
A year in the life?
I have this song (from the Musical, Rent) stuck in my head from the Kay Jeweler commercials that are on ALL the time and thought, “Hey, it is actually a fitting song for this post.”
As I was uploading videos of Luke I started watching videos of him from when he was 3 months old.
It made me cry.
I say this a lot, but I cannot believe how much they change in one year.
**************************************
Luke went to his twelve month check up on Monday.
Here are his STATS:
Weight: 20 lbs 6 oz
Height: 31 inches
And healthy as can be.
Fun fact about Luke, basically just for my memory:
- He gives his blanket loves every time he wakes up and has me give it loves too.
-He recognizes certain people in pictures and LOVES to look at pictures all the time
-He loves fruit, any kind of fruit, you name it he loves it
-He recognizes Jesus and can point him out of any picture
-Takes 2 long naps
-Sleeps 12 hours at night (7:30pm-7:30am)
-He is crawling like crazy especially up the stairs, but still has no interest in walking by himself
-He knows how to open any cell phone and likes to pretend like he is talking on it
-He loves any ball, can say the word ball, and can throw/roll the ball
-He loves to play with cars and can make a engine roaring sound
-He loves to '”scare” us with his monster growl
-He can say the words mom, dad, ball, book, and what’s that (in his own way)
-He is a flirt and tease
-He has six teeth, 2 on bottom, 4 on top
-He loves to watch Signing Time and can sign MORE
-He loves to take baths
-He can open any drawer or cupboard and pulls everything out of them
-He loves books, especially Mud Bog Hog and his Mickey books
- He dances to any song and likes when daddy plays the guitar for him
I could go on, but I will stop and just say (once again)…
WE LOVE YOU LUKE!
