Yikes! I am getting old!!

My birthday has always been a little of a let down every year. It's right after Christmas, it's freezing butt cold, someone close to me always forgets and feels bad, and not to mention I am a year older!! Now don't think I am throwing a pity party for myself, I am very used to it not being anything grand and having it be just another day. However, this year it turned out to be quite nice. It was still a quiet, average day, but just nice. I am not happy about the fact that I am 28 years old, but I am actually glad to be where I am in life right now.

So here is the low-down about what happened for my birthday. The Saturday before my birthday Jared took me sledding again. This time we went to Gorgoza Park in Park City. They have tow ropes that pull you up the hill and then there are 7 slopes to choose from. We went later in the day and never had to wait in line. It was probably the fact that it was 0.4 degrees outside and no one is that insane to be out in that weather, except us. Despite the weather, it was a blast. Dave and Lindsay also came with us and we couldn't stop laughing every time we went down the hill. I posted a video on here that Jared took of me as we were hooked together going down the hill. It is 37 seconds long which is a pretty good ride for sledding. After sledding, we stopped in Heber to get some grub. We decided to try a new restaurant that just opened called the spin cafe. It turned out to be a great choice. The food there was so good and they even had gelato for us to top off our dinner with. I would definitely recommend this place. The food, service and atmosphere were all excellent.

On my actual birthday, I ended up having to work for a couple of hours in the morning, but Hilary said that she would work the rest of the day for me so I could have it off. I think that was the best birthday present of them all. Jared took me out to lunch to Brick Oven and surprised me with balloons and flowers. He also gave me a watch, a couple pairs of shoes, and some clothes. I was able to come home and just relax and take a nap, which was so great. Later that evening, my mom and sister took me to Costa Vida to eat since Jared started back to school that night. When Jared got home from school, we were able to watch a movie and hang out together. All in all, it turned out to be a really great day. Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes!
