I hadn’t been to the mailbox in a few days so I was so surprised when I saw that there was a box addressed to me from Wendy. It felt like Christmas, I love getting surprises in the mail and I didn’t realize that I had been picked as one of the winners on your blog for Ruby’s Birthday! As I opened the box there was a letter on top and so that was the first thing I saw and read. (I hope Wendy you are ok that I share this letter with everyone because I loved it and cried that you care that much) when I put quotation marks that means that she put the picture of a candy bar that she included in the box.

Be “Twix” you and me, life sometimes ends up being a “Rocky Road” like Kristin and, Jared have experienced with the loss of their dear Ruby, but “Look” at what a blessing it has been for all of us. Without sweet Ruby I wouldn’t have the opportunity to make you feel like a “100 Grand”! I’m so glad to share with you the “Mounds” of joy I feel when I think of how Ruby has blessed all of us.

I remembered that some of the prizes were kids clothes and since I have no children I was glad that the next thing I pulled out was the Wall Hanging Quilt that is made with lots of love, it has a Red Heart on it with Red swirls in it also. Wendy I want you to know how much hearts mean to me, I had Open Heart Surgery in 2002 so Hearts are very special to me and I can’t wait to hang this up for all to see and I can tell Ruby’s story to all of my guests.
This year has been a Rocky Road for me being diagnosed in March with “Early Onset Parkinson’s” so thank you Wendy for making me feel like a 100 grand or more!
