Summer is quickly coming to an end and school will be starting soon.
Here is what we filled our last days of summer with:
We went to the Spanish Fork Rodeo over the 24th of July.
We signed Luke up for mutton bustin (riding a sheep) and he did awesome.
I was a nervous wreck, but he held on and was so happy.
He got second place and wanted the first place trophy pretty bad.
However, that trophy was HUGE and I was so glad we didn’t have to take it home.
Here are the links to the videos of him riding the sheep (sorry videos still aren’t working on here to post):

We’ve attended a couple of birthday parties.
One for my niece, London.
She had a pool party complete with pizza and ice cream cake.

My other niece, Taylor, had a party with Luke’s favorite item, a piƱata.
We have been going to the library for story time.
This day Hank would only sit on Luke’s lap.
My mom, my sister, and I took Luke and his cousin, London, to see the play, Mary Poppins.
I think they both liked it.
We’ve spent a lot of nights hanging out with family while Hank begs for food from everyone.
Luke started soccer and is the cutest player ever.
He scored the 2 goals his first game and was so excited.
I like watching all the boys run back and forth trying to figure out what they are suppose to do.
Jared has taken Luke camping a couple times and he has loved it.
His favorite part is the hot chocolate.
This time they hiked Timpanogas Cave.
A couple weekends ago I met up with friends from when I lived in Las Vegas for a girl’s weekend.
We stayed at a cabin in Beaver and worked all weekend on projects that we don’t get done at home with little ones around.
We also found time to take in the views on a 4-wheeler ride, ate lots of food, played games and watched movies.
I miss these gals so much. Wish they would move to Utah.
While I was gone on my trip, Jared took the boys to his parent’s cabin in Timber Lakes and played all weekend.
They were in heaven.
This summer has been full of swim lessons for Luke.
He has progressed so much.
This little one kept me quite busy on the sidelines watching Luke swim.
With it being so hot lately, I’m sure we will still have plenty of time to hang out in the backyard and watch the boys play.
And as we look forward to fall I decided I needed a change with my hair.
Chopped it shorter, went darker and got bangs.
We have a couple more trips coming our way, but I can’t believe Luke starts kindergarten in a week and a half.
On to a new chapter!
Love your hair!!!! And I can't believe Luke is a kindergartener!
ReplyDeleteSo glad we are friends! Love you! Love the new hair, too!
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous of your girls weekend. It looks like so much fun. I am in desperate need of one of those. I also love the hair.
ReplyDeleteI love that Luke rode that sheep..it was so cute to watch! Your hair looks great..my hair was about as long as yours and I cut it about the same length a couple of weeks ago!
ReplyDeleteSeriously love your cut!
