We have had a couple busy weeks the last little while.
Jared has been traveling A LOT for work so I have tried keeping myself busy.
My sister, Andrea, and her family came down here for their spring break so we were able to spend a lot of time with them.
We went swimming at Provo Rec center one night and hung out at the park the following day.
We started our Easter celebrating by going to an Easter egg hunt at Jared’s brother’s house.
We BBQ’d and let the kids hunt eggs.
At the party Luke was swinging on a tree house swing, and of course, Hank walked right in the front of the swing at exactly the right time and got hit in the eye with the wood swing.
So he pretty much got hit by a 2x4.
He had a really nice shiner.
I wanted to take the boys to another egg hunt hosted by Jared’s work.
I earned mother of the year that day as we pulled up five minutes late and the whole thing was already over.
There were tears until some nice girls shared their eggs with Luke.
Yes, sometimes I just can’t get my stuff together as a mother.
Thank goodness for the teaching lesson the girls provided on sharing and kindness, not all was lost.
The following day we went to the spring festival at Trafalga as a family.
Hank loved the carousel and the bounce house.
Thank goodness too because those were the only things he was big enough to do.
The older boys spent most of there time jumping off the free fall.
The next day (Saturday) the boys woke up to Easter baskets and then we headed to Logan to watch General Conference and celebrate Easter with my sister and her family.
While we watched conference, Hank laid on the floor and ate snacks.
In between conference sessions we did Easter activities.
We started with coloring Easter eggs.
Then they were ready for another egg hunt.
When it got dark we did another egg hunt, but this time it was a glow in the dark one.
We had a yummy Easter dinner on Sunday and then Jared headed home.
I stayed up in Logan for a couple extra days since it was our spring break.
Luke played with Isaac and Tess all day long and even got lucky when Isaac read him bedtime stories.
We came back to Utah county just in time to say goodbye to Jared as he left again for work.
We spent the rest of spring break just relaxing and spending time at home.
Yesterday we got to hang out again with family as we celebrated my nephew, Cade.
He had his baby blessing and then we had a brunch afterwards with everyone.
This morning we are back to our regular routine.
Luke went back to preschool and we are getting ready to send Jared on another work trip.
I’ve been keeping myself busy with some craft projects, all of which are partially done.
I’m hoping to finish them up this weekend.
Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend!
Hank really did have a shiner! You are such a fun mom! Love the picture of Luke holding Cade, and of course I always giggle when I see the Hank shoulder dance. He is so cute!
