This past weekend I went away on a scrapbook retreat with my sister.
We pretty much sit in a conference room for 2 days straight and digital scrapbook until late into the night.
I actually love it.
It’s a chance to strictly focus on getting caught up on my scrapbooks without any distractions.
Having books of memories for my kids to look at is very important to me.
While I was there I was working on Luke’s book and realized I was much better at writing down all the little things he did at certain ages (even though I thought I’d never forget) when he was little.
Well I’m very aware that my memory is fading fast so I need to keep up on my record keeping.
Here is Hank at 18 months:
He is my feisty, “I’m so adorable” child.
He changes personalities by the minute.
He can throw a tantrum like no other, but can easily be distracted right in the middle of it.
He says the following words: go, dad, mom, throw, ball, hi, bye
But his favorite word ever is: this. He says it all day long for everything. This. This? THIS!
He loves to throw everything and anything especially if it is off the balcony staircase.
He is extremely ticklish.
His favorite foods: waffles, bananas, bread, applesauce, quesadillas, fries, fruit snacks, and milk
His favorite show: Signing Time
He loves to snuggle and sit on your lap, but be careful because he also likes to turn around and smack you in the head or bite your arm.
He hates hats, bibs, gloves, jackets, sunglasses, or anything else restrictive.
He likes to sit in a big chair and not in his highchair for dinner.
He loves to play Legos with Luke and thinks he is big anytime Luke plays with him.
He loves water and his newest thing is taking a shower with Luke.
He loves to chase, race and wrestle with Luke.
He is attached to his binkie and blanket but knows he has to leave them in his crib until bedtime.
He loves to take his blanket and rub it in the corner of his eye or in between his fingers.
He is all boy who gets hurt on the daily.
His mouth is full of teeth and his two front teeth are already chipped.
He loves animals, especially dogs.
He has broken more things in his 18 months of life than Luke in his 5 years.
He has a smile that will melt your heart.
He loves music and anytime he hears it he starts dancing.
I’ve said it before, but this kid brought more joy and healing to our family after the loss of Ruby than we ever knew we needed.
He is the perfect definition of a rainbow baby.
We love this boy with everything!
He is such a cutie!!!
