Last Tuesday I had a birthday.

34 years old.

I really don’t feel like I’m 34, and yet I don’t feel young either.

My birthday always comes with the new year which is kind of nice.

New age, new year.

New beginnings, new goals.

I get to evaluate myself starting with a new age.

I get to start the year and my birthday with a new theme.

I hope for good things to come this year.

My birthday was a great day.

It started off with breakfast in bed from Jared and the kids.

Then my birthday present showed up.

Jared paid to have someone take down the wallpaper in my bathrooms.

I’ve been waiting to decorate these because I wanted the wallpaper down first.

After we took the wallpaper down in our Master bath we have been dreading doing it in the other bathrooms.

Best present ever and totally worth it.

It was taken down in 3 hours in both rooms and now we can focus on designing and decorating.

My mom then showed up with lunch.

We hung out and went shopping.

Later that night my mom watched the kids while Jared and I went out to dinner at Cheesecake factory.

I was spoiled with presents, treats, lunch dates, visits, calls and texts from friends and family throughout the week.

I’m counting on ya, 34, to show me something good this year.
