Hank at One

Hank turned one last week and I still can’t believe I have a one year old.

He is seriously so much fun, although he has developed quite a feisty personality lately.

Here are some facts about him:

I guessed a little on his height and weight.

His official weight at his well check was 19 lb. 11 oz.

Height: 29 1/4 inches

He is still scooting on his bum everywhere, but he is also standing up to everything and walking around furniture.

He is a screamer and loves to make noise.

He babbles and talks all day long.

He takes 2 naps a day, but still isn’t the best napper.

If you take an item away from him that he shouldn’t have he gets really mad and usually throws something at you (most often his binkie).

He is a busy-body and loves to pull everything out of the cupboards.

He is my water baby. He loves the water and could play in the bath all day if I would let him.

Hank is the happiest, smiliest kid. You can get a smile out of him even when he is tired, mad, or sad.

He is also extremely ticklish.

He is a little crazy and loves to shake his head back and forth and spin in a circle on the floor.

I’ve been working on teaching him sign language like I did with Luke. He says “all done” and “more” (selectively).

He loves music and starts dancing whenever he hears it.

He still loves any kind of food, but when he doesn’t want anymore he always throws it off the table.

Hank is kind of a scaredy cat though. He’s not a real big fan of swings, slides, jumping real high or being thrown in the air.

He loves his daddy very much, and says dada way more than mama.

He is such a fun kid, loves everyone, and is pretty content.

We love him so much.

He truly has brought so much joy and healing into our family.

More than I ever thought we needed.

He has helped each one of us as we try and move forward after the loss of Ruby.

We are so thankful that he is apart of our family.
