We decided to have some family pictures taken at the same time we did Hank’s birthday photos.
I figured by the time Hank turned one I will have had the bell’s palsy a year and that no matter what my face looked like I needed pictures with my family.
I was a little nervous to see how they would turn out.
If I concentrate I can get a little smile to look normal, but since I was wrangling my kids at the same time, it was hard to focus on getting my lips and teeth to line up to smile.
I tried just sticking with a closed mouth smirk.
Jill Burton took the pictures and did a fantastic job.
I am so happy with the way they turned out.
I cried when seeing them.
I want my kids to have pictures of me with them even though I feel I don’t look like myself.
I liked them so much I went out and bought new frames for my mantle and hung them up in my living room.
Thank you Jill for such a wonderful gift.
We made sure to include Ruby in the pictures too with the letter ‘R’.
More pics of just the boys coming soon…
These look amazing!! I love the "R" for Ruby in every picture; so wonderful. You have a gorgeous family and even if you don't feel it, you look absolutely.beautiful.in.every.picture. You may find all the flaws in your appearance (as most of us do), but I think when your boys see these pictures they will see you just as you are; strong, graceful, joyful, loving and faithful.

ReplyDeleteI wish I could "like" the first comment!! I agree with everything she said. I just wanted to say I love the B&W picture of you guys playing with the boys and Ruby's R in the middle. I know she watches over your family and is there loving you all. So sweet.
