Luke sleeps in the most awkward/uncomfortable positions.
He has been like this since he was a baby and he NEVER will keep the covers on.
Baby proof pictures:
Every time I go to check on him I never know what I am going to find.
Chillaxing:
Dreaming of Disneyland:
Wearing his racecar jacket to bed:
Just like when he was a baby, feet up in the air resting:
This night I found him on the floor and then later he was back in bed.
He didn’t remember a thing when I asked him the next morning:
He definitely keeps us on our toes.
Some mornings we wake up and he has snuck his way into our bed.
Little stinker!
We have been doing the same thing around here lately.
Jared was in California for work last week so I played single mother for a couple of days.
I wish I could say I got a lot done while he was away, but I didn’t.
Me and the little boys all have a cold so we have been trying to recover, but I did manage to get crafty and make a spring wreath.
For those wanting to know how I made it:
I wrapped a foam wreath form with burlap, chevron ribbon I bought at Hobby Lobby.
You can use straight pins to secure it in place or a hot glue gun like I did.
I bought this adorable HELLO sign at a place called the Wood Connection.
I spray painted it yellow and hot glued it on.
I also found some cute burlap flowers and leaves that I layered on the side and glued on.
Really easy!
Painting my front door a fun color is on my list for the spring so hopefully the wreath will be a good touch.
I have also started acupuncture treatments and have been going twice a week.
It is a drive to get there and then coordinating babysitting hasn’t been that fun, but I feel like it is worth it.
I do see subtle improvements with my eyebrow and mouth.
The Dr. also massages my jaw while I am there and I can’t tell you how bad this hurts.
I never realized how tender that side of my face is, but boy oh boy, I am gritting my teeth until he is done.
The acupuncture itself doesn’t hurt and is actually relaxing.
I often take a little nap during treatment.
I have been doing some bargain hunting lately (my favorite thing) and I found these toys at the D.I (a local thrift shop).
I was looking for a pirate ship to give to Luke for Easter and I found this one for $2.
I also found Hank’s Easter toy and a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse firehouse that I couldn’t pass up.
All for $5 and all in good condition.
Score!
My sister, Lindsay, took a trip to Vegas with her husband so we got to spend a little time hanging out with her kiddos.
These two are 4&1/2 months apart and are going to be best friends:
Hank has also let me get lots of cuddles in:
And these two are non-stop wrestling and tickling each other:
Hank also just like to laugh when I tickle Luke because Luke hates to be tickled:
Luke is a great big brother though and sings Hank a nightly bedtime song:
And finally Hank keeps himself entertained by ripping up a magazine.
He is going to have a blast at Christmas.

Special Request Needed:
I know there are quite a few of you that also read my sister, Andrea’s, blog.
Those of you who know her or know her through her blog, will you keep her in your thoughts and prayers?
She has had a rough month.
She hasn’t felt good for quite some time and they decided that it was her appendix causing the issues.
She had her appendix out right before Valentine’s but she still did not feel any better.
After a lot of tests they decided that she also needed her gallbladder out.
She had that taken out last week.
While she was at home on recovery she still was not feeling any better and ended up back in the hospital with a bile leak and had to go back in for surgery.
She is now recovering in the hospital and will be there a few more days.
She will actually hate me posting about this, but I know that through my experiences positive thoughts and prayers can help with healing.
Thank you!
I love all those videos!! Hanks getting so big! I am glad you included thoughts on Andrea.
ReplyDeleteYour boys are darling as ever!! Sweet, sweet boys! (And glad to know mine aren't the only ones who seem to beat each other up all the time...it is "playing" right?? :) Prayers for Andrea for sure. Hope she will be on the mend soon.

What a fun update! And. Actually loved seeing that acupuncture pic. Pretty cool! Will definitely pray for your sister, my sister went through something similar, not removing appendix and gallbladder, but she had a hernia surgery then they thought she wasn't getting better because of a few cysts, then when everything was taken care of she still felt crummy, however, after a few months and a trip to Florida she felt herself again, we still don't know how everything was fixed.
ReplyDeletethank you kristen for posting about andrea.. i have been keeping tabs by texting her and i texted her after her gallbladder surgery and she never responded and now I know why! keep us posted!! we will keep praying!!!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing Luke's pictures. He is so funny. Brady never sleeps on his pillow. I wonder if he'll ever get better or if he'll be like this soon. :) I am so happy that acupuncture is doing something! When I had TMJ my chiropractor would massage my jaw and it does kill. So sorry you have to go through that! But so awesome you are seeing results. Brynn laughs the hardest at Ryan. Sometimes it makes me think of your videos of Hank laughing at Luke. It's so different having a four year old with a baby and I like it. Prayers for your sister are on their way. I hope they can figure out what is going on with her and she can feel like herself again.
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love all these pictures. Too cute!
