We finally finished redecorating the master bath and we are so happy with the way it turned out.
Jared had some of the wallpaper torn down before even moving in so it has been an ongoing project for awhile.
Jared and I did all the work ourselves and we only had a few minor mishaps :)
Here is what the bathroom looked like before:
As you can see it was wall to wall toile wallpaper.
Jared hated it!
It was even a little overwhelming for me.
Here is what it looks like now:
Big change!
Another view of the old:
The updated version:
And one more pic of the old for good measure:
Bye, bye blue wallpaper.
Here is a breakdown of what we did:
We removed all the old wallpaper.
It was the biggest pain!!!
We were still dealing with leftover glue when we were trying to paint and it was a big mess.
Here is the only pic I could find of what it looked like after we removed the wallpaper.
{Cute boy with bed head did not help take down the wallpaper}
We then painted the walls a teal color.
On the back wall we put up a brown textured wallpaper.
Yep, after taking it all down, we put more up.
But I’m in love with it.
I will try and post an up close of the texture.
We put new handles on the cabinets and installed board and batten:
We were living in a mess most of the time.
We installed new light fixtures and mirrors.
I found new rugs and towels from World Market:
We hung up some new pictures and hooks for the towels:
Added a few extra decor items and we were all set.
Now onto the other 2 bathrooms of wall to wall wallpaper…
Very cute
