Nothing too exciting has been happening around here.
Just the normal day to day, however, this past couple weeks I have felt extremely busy.
When I look back over my planner the things that are filling my days are mothering duties, church callings, Dr. appointments, preschool, errands, and remodeling our bathroom.
Nothing too exciting, but I will share a little anyway.
We took the boys swimming for FHE a couple Mondays ago.
It was Hank’s first time in the water and he just liked to look around and take everything in.
Luke also loved being back in the water, but don’t ask him about the big, giant slide because he is never, ever, never, going on that again.
I’ve been doing a little Valentine decorating around the house.
We also got Luke’s class valentines ready and family ones put together.
We have been going to story time.
Jared and I have been staying up late trying to finish the bathroom remodel.
It has taken A LOT longer than we ever thought.
But I love how it is coming together.
I’ve also been working on decorating the master bedroom.
I have rearranged things so many times.
I think I am finally happy with it.
When both rooms are complete I will post more pics.
Luke has been keeping me on my toes lately.
He has been saying the funniest things lately.
Today he told me that at school a girl took a toy he was playing with while he was working on his project.
I asked him what he did when she took it.
He said, I freaked out!
Oh dear.
He has also been keeping me busy by always having a project going on at home.
On Saturday he really wanted me to help him make a train and track out of paper.
So we pretty much spent all morning working on this:
He cracks me up on the daily.
Tonight I made him promise me that he will never get into any trouble when he grows up and he will stay with me forever.
And this little one cut a tooth this week and it made me so sad.
It means he is getting bigger, and I sure wish he would stop doing that.
I mean, can’t he stay this age forever?
He has been loving solid food lately.
I gave him this mesh food strainer the other night and he went to town.
He had it all over the place.
I don’t dig messes, but it was worth it to see him happy.
I’ve also been filling my time with baby showers, church activities, meeting up with friends and I even had a hair appointment.
My hair looks so much better!
I’d post a pic, but when I tried taking one my face got in the way.
It seems to do that lately.
I’ve been seeing someone new to help with my bell’s palsy.
It has been an interesting experience, but one that I’m trusting in.
I hope to see results soon.
I might even start some acupuncture soon.
We have been planning our family vacation as well.
My entire family (meaning my sisters and parents) are all planning a Disneyland trip and it is going to be so much fun.
Luke is going to “freak out” when he finds out.
He talks about going to Disneyland and the beach on a weekly basis.
I’ve also been researching preschools for Luke.
I feel like I am researching colleges for as much time and effort as I have put into this.
Still haven’t decided on one, but hopefully I can make up my mind before he starts college.
Tomorrow is Valentine’s day.
Any big plans?
We will be spending it as a family.
Jared is going to be taking Luke skiing on Saturday for the first time.
Wish them both luck!
Hope you all have a happy love day.
Muah!
Loved this post! Your boys are adorable! And you are the best mom for doing that train and track. Cute!
ReplyDeleteI love how you make your pictures into a story. I am going to try and do a weekly update someday and I am pretty sure I won't be able to do as well as you. Love your writing! Good luck with the preschools! I'm glad I don't have to worry about that for Kindergarten. :) Although, I could worry about it for Brady, but I'm not going to. We're going to chill next year. You are an amazing mom and I know that your kids know how much they are loved. I hope Luke had a blast skiing!
