Jared reminded me the other night that I hadn’t blogged in awhile.
I said, maybe I will just be done blogging.
He said, no, you can’t, this is our family’s journal!
So here I am back to recording our daily events.
We had some visitors come stay with us 2 weeks ago.
Our good friends Danny & BreighAn and their adorable little boy, Archer came from Vegas.
We hit up the Discovery museum in Salt Lake and had so much fun.
I didn’t get one picture of Archer
We loved having them stay with us, our friendship with them is so easy and we miss them terribly.
We also had other visitors for a day, my niece and nephew, Liam & London.
It was quite the juggling act trying to feed both babies at the same time, but I managed to keep them both happy.
These two were so focused on eating their apples and watching Frozen.
Jared spent an afternoon building me a new bench for my porch.
I love it.
And I love how handy my husband is.
I have also had a couple more acupuncture appointments.
Luke has slept in more awkward and uncomfortable positions.
Yes he really is asleep.
Luke also has said some pretty funny things lately.
We were driving in the car the other day and he said, “Mom, look at that dog.”
Me: “What a cute dog.”
Luke: “Is it a boy or a girl?”
Me: “I’m not sure.”
Luke: “Well it isn’t wearing lipstick so it must be a boy.”
**********************************************
Luke: What is dad making while he is gone?
Me: What do you mean?
Luke: Dad said he was at an invention, so what is he making? Invention means you make something.
Me: Dad is at a convention for work, not an invention.
Luke: Ohhhh.
Hank started cutting his top teeth and is miserable.
It turned into a terrible cold, then turned into an ear infection.
He is finally feeling better and I’m so glad to have my happy baby back.
It was breaking my heart to see him like this.
He started feeling better, but was still pretty wiped out most days and even fell asleep in his jumper.
Jared took Luke out hiking one Saturday while I stayed behind with Hank so he could get feeling better.
While they were hiking I made a new cover for our ironing board.
I’m weird but I really wanted it to match the colors in my laundry room.
I mentioned in my previous post that my sister has been a little down and out so Luke and I put together a “sunshine” box for her.
Myself and the kids are actually in Logan right now helping out while my sister recovers and Luke has been having so much fun with his cousins.
Tonight when I told Luke it was time for a bath these other two wanted so badly to get in.
My sister usually has them shower so they have been bath deprived, so I let them jump in too.
My sister is doing much better, but still has a long road of recovery ahead of her.
Please keep the prayers coming.
Hank has made sure to give her lots of snuggles.
I’m keeping busy playing mother to six kids.
It is tiring, but I’m glad she lives close enough that I can help out.
I’ve been awful at keeping up on other blogs.
I haven’t had much time for reading or the internet so I hope everyone is great in blogland.
No, no, don't stop blogging! I love keeping up with your sweet family and also Andrea's. :) I loved the photos of Hank asleep in the jumper and also with his beautiful aunt. Best wishes for your healing from the palsy. I think your smile is beautiful, anyway!
ReplyDeleteKeep blogging! There are so few people who do it now, and it is so much better than just FB or instagram. Plus your kids will love reading your words. You are so talented at writing. I love hearing what's going on with you guys. :)
ReplyDeleteDid my comment not go through? Weird. Well, I said that I'm glad you're still blogging! We love hearing what's going on with you guys. Also, we had so much fun visiting you! And Luke's lipstick comment is still cracking me up!
ReplyDeleteWe loved having you here. Thanks for all your help, and I especially loved the snuggles from Hank. It was nice to have all the help putting my house back together.
