Anniversary Weekend

3 kids, 1 cat, 4 vehicles, 3 jobs, 2 states, and 5 homes.

Yes, this all has happened within 5 years.

I’m hoping the next 5 years slow down a little.

Jared and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary this past Friday.

I feel like it should be more than 5 years with everything that has happened!

Last year we decided to take a big trip for our anniversary because we knew that on our 5 year anniversary we would probably have a little one and it would be hard to get away.

Glad we jumped at the chance, we had a heavenly 4 year anniversary cruise.

This year, Jared still made it extremely special.

A couple days before he handed me a letter.

It had our itinerary on it for the weekend.

He had it all planned out, including babysitting,  and I was already impressed.

Friday night came and my parents came over to watch the littlies.

We took off and headed up to Park City.

Park City is where we stayed the night of our wedding before leaving on our honeymoon.

We ate at the same restaurant, Ruth’s Chris, as we did on our wedding night.

It is delicious, but pricey so it may be a 5 year thing.

They even sat us at the same booth.

{5 years later}

After dinner we did a little shopping and then went to see a movie.

After having kids, going to a theater has become a real treat.

We saw Gravity. It was okay, a little slow for me, but still entertaining.

We stayed at the Park City Marriott where Jared even planned to have Sparkling Cider and chocolate covered strawberries waiting for us when we arrived.

I got a FULL night’s sleep with no interruptions except a fire alarm going off at 7am.

The next day we went to breakfast and then Jared had booked us a couple’s massage.

They came right to our hotel room and set up shop.

It was wonderful.

We continued to relax by soaking in the hot tub before checking out of the hotel.

We did a little more shopping, had lunch and then headed home to our babes, who I missed terribly.

My sister-in-law had taken over watching the kids and I was so grateful to her and my parents for giving us a wonderful weekend.

I wish I could have a weekend like that every month!

Happy Anniversary babe!
