Even though Jared has been gone to Vegas for a couple of weeks, Luke and I have kept ourselves pretty busy. We have had lots of play dates, goodbye parties, and family time to occupy these weeks.
A good friend from High School moved back to Utah so we had to get our kids together for a water party.
I met up with two of my closest friends from San Diego for a picnic in the park. One now lives in Utah and the other was visiting. It is always great to see them. We started planning on girls getaway to Las Vegas. This time it will be very convenient for me!
My High School girlfriends planned a girls night out to Chili’s. I will miss our girl’s nights.
I enjoyed one more round of Bunco with my favorite neighbors. I looked forward to this night every month.
And who would miss out on Payson Onion Days. Jared even made it to town for this. We took Luke to the carnival and parade. He LOVED every minute of it. I think it made my mom nervous watching Luke ride all the rides by himself, but he has no fear. My parents also cooked us delicious food the entire weekend. Not to mention my older sister, Andrea, was in town to make the weekend extra special.
We also made it a couple more times to Seven Peaks, I got to see the movie, The Help, with my sisters and mom, and we all went to Midway’s Swiss Days. Something that I might have to drive back to Utah specifically for.
It’s been a great couple of weeks in the midst of chaos as well. Only a couple more nights in Utah, I can’t believe it.
{Just wanted to say thanks for all the kind words, thoughts, and prayers that were offered after my last post. I did get the results from my MRI. She did get a slightly different diagnosis, but everything is still up in the air and it is wait and see type case. We will keep you posted once I meet my new Perinatologist in Vegas.}
We will miss you guys!!! I am excited for you, and I am so glad we have blogs and facebook to keep in touch. I can't wait to see how things go for you down in Vegas. I know they will be great!
ReplyDeleteI am glad you were able to do some of the thing you love before you move. It was fun to hang out with you too.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe I missed you at the parade. It looks like you guys were up by the new pool...we were sitting right by the fence at the pool. So close! Good luck with the move-not my fav thing to do-& with everything else. We will have to plan a day & I will run to vegas for dinner or something!
ReplyDeleteKristen, Wow! I really had some catching up to do. First off, I just found out today you were pregnant. Your family will be in our prayers and I can't wait to hear how it all turns out. When is your due date? Second, you moved to Vegas!!! You know that is where I am from and joined the church! The church and the temple are amazing in Vegas! Call me at anytime if you're looking for a good area to buy a home. Third, I love Swiss Days!!! Maybe we can meet up there sometime in the future. Great food, booths and festival! Who is Jared working for? You're going to have to send me an email and catch up when you have the time. I am such a blog reader slacker. Miss ya....
ReplyDeleteGlad you had such a good time with friends and family! Seeing you smile makes me smile :)
