This morning I had my first monitoring session with my sidekick, Luke.
He actually did awesome.
Maybe it was the fact I let him watch Elmo on our portable DVD player and eat grapes the whole time, but whatever works, right?
Maybe Luke liking TV right now isn’t such a bad thing after all.
It might be my saving grace at these appointments.

The Relief Society president stopped by yesterday and she is so nice.
She said there are a ton of people to help out with Luke when I have my longer appointments.
Thank goodness for ward families.

Luke’s vocabulary is growing everyday.
He says a new word daily.
His new thing is going around pointing out everything that is Luke’s.
After my Dr.’s appointment today I went and got us a smoothie to share.
I kept asking him if I could have some. He would shake his head no and say, “Yuke’s”.
He is also a huge tease and thinks he is pretty funny stuff.
I am trying to figure out a way to get him adjusted to Las Vegas time.
The 6:30am wake up call is nice and all, but starting our day that early can make for a pretty long day. Especially when I am hungry for lunch and it is only 10:30am.

We are planning on going out and touring the city this weekend so hopefully I will have pictures for you next time.
Happy Friday!
Kristen! I'm going to be in Vegas the weekend of the 23rd. If you aren't busy, we should grab lunch or something while my husband golfs!
ReplyDeleteYeah for a successful doctor's visit with a 2 year old! Those can be scary. :) And he is eating something good for him and sesame street is educational.
ReplyDeleteRelief society is yet another testament to the gospel. I hope you make lots of friends quickly.

Saying lots of prayers for you guys! Hope things keep getting better and better. My nephew said "y" sounds for "l" sounds forever and I loved it! He would say "I don't yike it", lol.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that Luke did good. I think that the fact he likes TV is a blessing.
