Celebrate

A couple of weeks ago Luke was able to go to nursery by himself.

He walked in like he owned the joint and walked out the same way.

He thought he was Mr. Independent.

A couple weeks before he turned 18 months Jared or I would go in with him to get him use to it.

I really don’t think he ever needed us there.

He loves it.

I love it.

I don’t think our Sunday School class loves it.

Now they have to pay attention to us instead of play with him.

Jared and I get to actually listen to the lesson in Relief Society and Elder’s Quorum.

It’s a win-win.

However, the first week he was there I found myself thinking of him the whole time in Relief Society.

Wondering what he was doing, if he was having fun, and so on.

It is a big step for me to let him go. I usually always know what is going on with him or I at least get a full report, but not with nursery.  It’s his own time to be away from mommy and not have me know anything.

I am enjoying this time for now.  Come October I will have a little baby girl that I will be my sidekick at church.

Nursery and new babies are both cause for celebration.

  5. Yeah!!! both for Luke and the pregnancy announcement! I'm so excited for you. One of each! So far, I have found that my little guy seems more laid back than Jocelyn. But it is so much more fun to dress little girls and make stuff for them. Plus (not that pink is my favorite color) with a little girl, you can use as much of it as you like and no one can question it!
I had mixed feelings about nursery too. I still do but I know she loves it because she asks to go almost every day!
