I guess it is Spring Break around here.
I usually forget since I don’t have a countdown to Spring Break like I did when I was in school.
I did, however, take a spring trip and it was wonderful.
My vacation started last Thursday when Jared told me we had a hotel room available for us at the Zermatt Resort in Midway.
It is one of the little perks we get once in awhile from Jared’s work.
SWEET! I am there.
We decided to let Luke have his first sleepover with Grandma since his bedtime is so early.
It isn’t much of a vacation when lights are out in the hotel room at 7:30pm.
Jared and I made a stop at our favorite restaurant in Heber, The Spin Cafe. It never disappoints.
Then we were off to the Hotel for swimming and a movie.
We had to leave pretty early to get back to Luke, but not before we stopped off at the French bakery for a Danish.
I was worried how Luke would do without us, but my mom takes such good care of him I should never worry.
He even slept in until 9am for her.
After we picked Luke up I said my goodbyes again to him as I loaded the car for Vegas.
When I moved from San Diego I left behind a lot of close friends, one of them being Jen.
She had a fabulous idea to meet halfway in Vegas so we could have a vacation together.
I was sold from the minute she brought it up.
We had such a great time and have decided to make this an annual tradition.
We shopped and ate and ate and shopped.
We watched movies and went to the theatre since it is a rare thing for both of us.
We even found time to make a craft.
Didn’t it turn out super cute? (We got the idea here)
Even though I didn’t get my “lay by the pool and read time” it was so great to be with Jen.
It was also great to come home to this little one.
I am looking forward to next year!
How fun. I love the craft. What a fun idea. Where did you get the vinyl?
ReplyDeleteDid it rain while you were there?
So glad you guys had fun! You have no idea how much I wish I could have joined you! I am jealous of that cute craft! Thanks for posting pics of your fun weekend.
