I am officially saying goodbye to my 20’s today.
Yep, it’s my birthday.
The big 30.
My 20’s weren’t all that good to me until the last few years when Jared entered my life so I say good riddens to you.
I am actually excited for my 30’s.
30 is the new 20, right?
I am glad I am not 20. I like the life experience I have acquired thus far.
I went out to dinner with my girlfriends last night and we were all saying how happy that we are where we are in our lives right now.
We wouldn’t go back.
I use to hate my birthday being in January.
It’s always a cold, depressing month with the Holidays just getting over.
I am taking a new approach this year.
I kind of like the fact that it is a new year and I am starting a new age all at the same time.
I have a couple of themes for this new year.
They are:
Be a better me than yesterday
I am working hard to be more loving, kind, and selfless this year. It’s hard. I am constantly striving for it yet failing miserably most days.
Patience, patience, patience
Patience in everything, but especially with myself and the Lord. The Lord has offered extreme patience with me and yet I offer no patience to Him.
Everyday I ask for patience and everyday I realize I have to be patient when it comes to help with me having patience. (Did you follow that?)
30 is going to be kind to me, I just know it.
It is nice to hear your optimism! I am not excited about 30 being right around the corner....not at all!!
